Well if I don’t get any offers, he’ll end up on ebay, so you can have a shot at him then! Regardless, good luck in finding one! I had thought the cherubs looked a little creepy in pictures, but up close he’s adorable!

I’m not complaining! I’ve always admired these guys but have never seen one in person. It would be nice to think that someday I could grab one from ebay!

I’m zeldathedragon on ebay, and good job on getting the castle. I couldn’t bid nearly as high as the auction went so I wasn’t even in the running, it’s no big deal to me 🙂 Glad to know it’s got a good home!

Hi! I usually use a very soft rounded paintbrush to dust my stuff, it’s quicker and easier than washing them. As for touch ups, paint pens take care of the gold accents and matching paint colors isn’t that hard for little chips. Acrylic paint should do it (which is also what’s most commonly used for the PYOs), with a gloss varnish if it’s needed. If you’ve got a chunk that needs to be filled in, epoxy putty or really thick plaster might do the job. Good luck!

in reply to: Blue Violet flame!! Lookee lookey! #562676

*drools* Wow, REALLY pretty! The blue eyes don’t seem to match very well with the rest of the colors though. Maybe orange eyes, or red eyes? Or those ‘blank’ clear eyes with gold foil put onto the back! Can’t be too nitpicky with something so pretty though!

in reply to: Would you? #562378

Wow, tough question. For me personally, my answer would be no! Most of my pieces have good memories of finding them on ebay (and acutally WINNING the auction for once!) after long searches and pinching pennies. I’d go with hanging up a picture. There are tons of beautiful pieces I’ll probably never be able to afford, but it’s also nice to admire Melody’s work from afar.

in reply to: PYO Koi ? #561080

Wow, a koi’s a really interesting idea. How about betta fish? The scales would be smaller and the color possibilities for the fins would be endless! Plus it would give people an opportunity to immortalize their little pets in statue form. Melody’s point about casting thin fins is a good one though. Hmmmm…

I’ve been hunting for the griffons and the flion for ages! I go to a lot of garage sales myself, but Windstones have never been sold in my area, I’ve never seen one at a sale in any of my travels 😕

Griffiness, your rainbow male is gorgeous! I wasn’t so big on the rainbows at first, compared to some other colors, but yours looks really nice with that mirror in the back.

Congrads Emerald! The ruby scratcher looks like it might have a chip off the bottom of the right wingtip, but otherwise they look mint, and they have the tags too! Good luck in getting them safely.

Hey frozen! Are you sure the hatching dino you’ve got is the Protoceratops? I’m looking for a Maiasaur and Velociraptor for my dino collection, heh. Let me know what yours is, and if it needs a good home. Thanks!

Congrads Whistful, I saw that BIN green male myself, but was late to dinner and had to pass it up! Probably better for my budget anyway 🙂 Such is life!

Its right eye looks a little wonky to me. Is it just the angle? The pupil looks big…
