And while dad plays guitar, I don’t. I have tried, but my arms are too short. Dad and I are going to try to take Madolin lessions soon. We both own one. I did play trumpet for 2 years…but that is it.

Mandolin is what I’d like to get better at, but I’d like to learn it more by ear than by sheet music. This is just because after taking seven years of piano lessons I’m fed up with reading–I want to play, not decipher. But anyhow! Mandolin is a lot of fun, and I bet you’ll love it.

And it’s awesome that your dad makes guitars, Whippet! The ukulele looks gorgeous.

Thanks! I am hoping that after I learn to play..he will Make me one! *crosses fingers*

I don’t know – I bought my daughter a glass heart (from another seller) about a year ago and it’s still in one piece. If I got one, I probably would only wear it for special occasions. I like to display stuff like this in my house, too.

it may well just be me. I am sooo hard on my jewelery!

They are very pretty..but I wish they did not have glass loops…cause they break so easily.

My father is a Luthier. He makes both electic *at home as a hobby* and accoustic guitars *for a living*. Here he is with a ukulele he just finished makeing for my aunt, as a surprise!

and here is the company website…

Its really just 3 guys in a shop making guitars. ha! But they retail high, 5 to 14 grand or so.
They are basically copies of 1930s Martin’s.

Congrats on the new fish. I have only had a lizard get out once and I found it a couple of hours still alive…oh and of course the crickets as well.

God I lost a lizard once too…and never did find him. I was so upset. He was my nearly 4 foot long male iguana! He was loose in my room..no cage big enough, and when I went downstairs he was on top of my bookshelf on his heatrock, the window was open, but the screen was down. When I came back the screen had a whole in it…and no lizard. He must have jumped out to the fig tree that was almost touching the window anyway…but we never found him. I like to think he crawled down to the creek and swam a ways down and a nice 10 year old boy found him and owns him to this day… Here is hoping. I mean really, how does a person lose a four foot long lizard!!!????!!!

I had as a kid two fire-belly newts, both dissapeared one day. We found them a year later under the couch…perfectly dried in a walking position. Poor little guys….

Thanks Nam! I should have added that link. Thank you for doing it.

looks like someone took a gold marker and covered all of her spine scales! Horrible job too! But she can be restored wonderfully I bet!

and yeah that male is too high, but if he was covered with dust, I suggest you make an offer with the desk at the mall, then they will contact the seller. They just might go for it if it has not sold this long. Try like 150 and see what happens. Good luck!
