if you hate everything about it you can just spray paint it white and start over, but you can also go wash it off. 🙂
But really its not that bad. I did a little quick photoshop magic with the first idea that popped into my head. Going darker in the center of each feather and then adding spots would add sparkle to him!
you can do alot with custom ponies! I have made dragons/centaurs/monsters/dogs/and more! They are fun to play with. The new ones are great to customise…they are easy to clean and find, and are easy to dye/paint.
I just hold them and close my eyes. ha! Many here find insperation in creatures of the wild. Frogs, and foxes, butterflies and deer. Look through coffee table books of wildlife photos at your local libary or bookstone, and become inspired!

Here is a pic of them all. Some are not bait really…but good to fair condition. Like the woodgrain foal lamp. That is a fairly rare peice, but is missing the shade and has a few small problems. The grey grazing hartland is in good shape too. But for the most part….

Yeah Dye is much much better! I use that most. RIT dye works fine although truly dark colors will fade with time. As for Paint, if you must use it, then you just use regualar acrylic and then seal with a gloss or Matte coat.

Yeah…actually I outsource my rehair jobs! I know a chick that will do it for like 12 bucks…and she provides the hair. Very very cheap. http://www.sevenbellesmlpcustoms.com/ is her website and her email is on there. I trust her completely and have always been very very happy with her work. I am not sure if she strips the flocking or not. Its harder to find someone to do that…its very very hard and time consuming. But basically you boil the pony with the head off and then rub. Then take nail polish remover and scrub at the rest. Its a pain.
I dust mine with a dampish paper towel or a brush. But I have to do it quite often since I have a cockatoo in the same room. Mr. Dusty I call him! ha! Poor Cookie!!! No respect
