But I always say it’s easier to ask forgiveness then it is for permission!

      Ain’t it the truth?

Aww Lokie, you got one thats sorta like mine. I love mine. And I loved pretty much all the black ones with chickadee white cheeks. Theyre so cute!

I’m not likely to get another GB poad based on the fact that Im just not that much of a poad person. This is my only young poad, and before that I only had two adults, okapi and pink tiger. Im more inclined to wait for an ebay young poad that matches my two adults than another grab bag. However a lot of people ARE poad people, so Im sure that just like the unicorns, any gb batch will be a sell out.

And I will list myself as one that doesnt like the intricate lacey patterns that everyone seems to go nuts over. I think most of those are ugly as sin. Most of the ones I like had the ‘leaf stencil’ on black or white pattern. Which a lot of people I see are finding boring? I think the lack of trading also has to do with the ‘one per’ rule. When you only have one poad to trade, suddenly you are a lot more picky in what you trade for! I think Melody was right in this, that when you can get two, then you have a better chance of having ‘one I like, one I trade’.

Its a green diamond. A lot of people have asked if its emerald or peridot too. But nope, its actually a diamond. Hard to tell in the light they took the pic in, but it sparkles like crazy in the light. Plus I had another jeweler evaluate it.

Thats because other Windstones dont resemble a baby guinea pig with a bird face. The perfect toy as far as a cat is probably concerned.

Mynahs are good talkers but they are VERY messy. Its easy for them to poop several feet outside of their cage.

I dont think any one species of parrot is a beginner, however there are individual birds that can be a good first parrots. I would talk directly to breeders about it. They are going to have the best idea of a young birds personality. They would pair a first time owner with a more laid back bird generally and save the ones that have more of an attitude for the more experienced handler. My parrotlet for example was part of a clutch of three. The other two were the nicer, quieter ones that didnt constantly ‘test’ people like mine does (testing=”im going to bite to see if I get a reaction”). Her sisters went to families with older children that were more beginners, but I got her because I can deal with any bird, even one with an attitude.
