annnnnnnnnnd the last one is gone! sheesh what a frenzy! 😯 i’m sure they will be laughing at the factory tomorrow, filling all these orders for brown old warriors! man, i wanted one too, so badly! i just couldn’t swing the money til the weekend! too late! 🙁 300 bucks isn’t chump change, that 300 bucks! that could be alot of bills paid.. i do hope they make a few more, but i don’t expect it.

yeah they were real dingles, also they claimed they were old and feeble and this was there only source of income, so if they refunded me they couldn’t pay for their meds, etc. well, then don’t sell fragile stuff that you don’t have the intent or ability to pack safely! i even gave them step by step instructions on double boxing, which they totally disregarded. they said “oh yeah we saw that, but didn’t feel like doing it cuz we’re old on don’t like to fuss with stuff!” oh ok! lol!
she’ll be ok though, at least her face didn’t get smashed so i’m happy! 🙂lol! yes he does! good eyes on you! i got him missing his orb for a lesser price… windstone didn’t have replacement orbs, so i gave him a little fantail goldfish to munch on instead! it was a perfect fit too and still asian in theme! i did manage to find an orb that would fit perfectly, but it didn’t have that fabulous reflective quality the original did, ( with your eagle eyes you can see it between his front feet, its greenish) so i am procrastinating on gluing it in, in case i find a nice one in time.
my poor mother griff gargoyle lost her wings in shipping a while back too as you can see, i have all the pieces and just have to take the time to repair her. man i was so mad, the seller wouldn’t give me a refund and packed her in a box just a hair bigger than she was! she said the postal person said it would arrive fine, so that made her exempt cuz he approved it before mailing! lol! ok, whatever! she punctured the box with her wings from the inside out, that’s how much she rattled in there!sheesh i just counted them and i think i have 96! 😯 when i joined the forum i had somewhere between 10 and 14! talk about an enabling environment! lol!

I love ragdolls, I almost bought one a few years ago. But, one of my boys has a bit of ragdoll in him. So I’m content with that.
i think loosely speaking a ragamuffin is basically a ragdoll, but with any color and patterning other than pointing. for example, a red tabby coloration instead of seal point; the classic “siamese” markings are reserved for the ragdoll..correct me if i’m wrong though folks, its been a while……
oh SQUEEEEEEEEEEE! thank you! yippee! its me!!! yay! i’m old fart of 28 as of 6 pm on the 8th! sheesh. time passes huh? i feel old. thanks for the wicked cute dragon suit pic dragoness! so cuuute! i squeezes it! lol! well, i hope its good day tomorrow, lol! we are *planning* on going to the zoo, then out to dinner and ice cream. we’ll see!! (the bf is a little undependable) at least i don’t have to work on my birthday, so thats a good start!
my parents wanted to be out to celebrate, but my dad had to work… so in a couple of weeks they’ll be out and we’ll have a seafood dinner and some carvel ice cream cake! woot! we get the football cake of all things! lol! its soo flippin good… chocolate and vanilla ice cream separated by a layer of chocolate fudge n chocolate crunchies, then covered in a layer fudge to hold on the outer coating of chocolate crunchies n whipped cream! holy cow its good! 😯 i gotta wait for that though!totally! we can’t have one brown parent without the other!! ( waits and wonders if they are in the works) mmmmmmm i still want them both in em.pea too! momma in em.pea with that gold egg would be sooo pretty!
i second the big thank you to melody for making the moms again… i always wanted one but never could gave gotten one of retired mommas with them going at more than 200 a pop! thank youuuuuuuuuuuuu! 😀 happy windstone fan over here!! (now i just need production white griffs with straw eyes) 😉woo hoo! congrats! i got # 7 myself in the gold and its really pretty; he wears the gold very well! it looks very natural and realistic on him. i can see the sparkles pretty well on mine in GE’s “reveal” halogen lights, but honestly i have yet to take him outdoors to see how he looks. i’ll have to try that. congrats to you again!! yay!
oh awesomeness i’m glad you guys like him! it took him a while for me to do him cuz i kept trying to paint the piece with the scales! noooooooo! stop! ack! was the theme the whole way! lol! in the end i really liked how he came out and missed his “grayness” on my desk. i’m sure davey will be thrilled that y’all liked his idea!! he came up with the whole concept, picked the stone and eyes without my kibbitzing or anything! he has really interesting and different taste, its really refreshing from my hum drum ideas! lol! its fun to see what directions you get taken with commissions with everyone’s different ideas.
here is his red dragon- he’s a little different from the other above….a little more masculine with gunmetal gray accents, as opposed to catty vixen black, lol.

[/img]well, its been a long time since i’ve posted anything in here, or much of anything anywhere on the forum for that matter! i’ve been busy painting up a gaggle of commissions three of which i’ll post now, and three more on monday probably once i get all the final approvals, so do check back to see those! i hope y’all like and have fun checking these out! kibbitzing and suggestions welcome of course.
ok, so the first two of these are for dcc1961….. she first requested a black n green dragon to compliment the red n black dragon i did for her, which i showed in my last pyo post a while back. he was done to match, to still be a very black and dark feeling dragon, but with green instead. the pics on this one are a little blah, i’m still learning how to take pics on my own without my dads’ help…

then she wanted a red dragon, one that really captured the essence of red, without turning into a ruby dragon. we chose bright yellow eyes to really pop out against the red, which came out looking pretty sharp.. i came with a cool red through layering a couple different kinds of paint to come up with really juicy metallic red like a pomagranate seed…but different from a ruby dragon in that mine has more of an alizarin crimson quality when the two are compared.. you know a little more of a purple/blue quality to it. of course, it just doesn’t show in the pics, grrrr. anyhoo here he is.

thennnnn, we had one for daveyboy….. he came up with the idea of having a stormcloud camouflage dragon…. one that could stalk his prey incognito against a stormy cloudy sky and not be seen. so that meant thinking a little outside the box and not fully painting the colors on the dragon in cahoots with his scale patterning. i did accent his special points though in a stormy blue interference ( as davey wanted to reference cracks of blue sky peeking through the storm clouds) and the helped to add some punch and tie in the eyes. instead of giving all the interference a dark base underneath, i brushed it over whatever color was there in the pattern, so gave a real range of super subtle bubble like blues, to more intense stormy blues. in every pic he looks like he has regular iridescent paint, but it is interference; i shot it in a light box so it lit the whole thing up- i just couldn’t get him to not show the color aspect of it! durrrr!he was a bugger to do but i love how he is so moody!

phew! now, i have three more to add in a few days.. that will include daveys red dragon; once he saw dcc1961s he wanted his own version,lol…… and two more for dcc1961: a sage n silver dragon, and luminous sunlight dragon, inspired by the sun n clouds dragon i did for gryphondreamer. what a workout!i love the new sun one, gah i want to post it now! funny, i love dark color always wear black, but i love the sunny and light filled pieces, like the pearl griffins etc. go figure.[/img]
after these i will be available to take on new commissions, but i have lots of pieces in the works for ebay and myself too! woo can’t wait to do some for me!
