Thank you! I’ve been wanting a violet flame anything for awhile now, but i just couldn’t see the violet.
It’s actually a Eurasian Eagle Owl. I had a hard time with the markings though, so it doesn’t look exactly like one. I tried getting a mottled effect, but it just looked like the griffin had rolled in mud, so I blended the brown.
Do the violet flames in the store have any violet on them? I’m asking because the picture looks almost exactly like the russet curled one that I have except with red eyes and a red jewel.
I’m so glad you like him Foxfeather! Thanks for giving him a name. I couldn’t think of one.
Ack! That’s the spider that I just killed in my apartment last night! I was wondering what kind of spider it was since I’d never seen one quite like it. The way it moved, I didn’t know it was a spider until I had killed it.
Well, I finally finished mine. I’m still not completely happy with it, but time’s up (Plus I’m likely not making it better when I keep dorking with it.). I’m just waiting for the clear coat to dry. Hopefully it will be dry by tomorrow so I can ship it out on time, but if it’s still tacky I’ll have to wait until Monday.
PM’d you.
June 16, 2007 at 4:58 am in reply to: Art for sale – Old Warrior fundraising! EDIT – sale prices! #588984I really like the one that dragonessjade picked out as well. Would I be able to get a print of that one?
Also, do you take commissions? I’m curious and would like to know your prices.
Thank you.
They are just stunning! Wow! Now if I could just afford one.
Yep, I have an older one like the one on the left. I like him better than the lighter version because he has deeper colors and more color variation. Mine also has the markings on the smooth scales and the squinty eyes.
Sorry, I’m a perfectionist, and I won’t send mine out until I’m satisfied with it. It is coming out very nicely though, after a lot of initial frustration, and now I want to keep it. I just hope that my swap partner likes it!
Wow! Thank you! Kep, I was wondering for a little while how you knew it was my birthday, and then I saw this thread.
I don’t really have any big plans. I’m mainly going to be going out to dinner with my mother. I may be able to get my boyfriend to join us. The rest of my family is out of the state right now and will celebrate with me when they get back.
They are facing opposite directions and the moon dragon’s front claws are clasped while the sun dragon’s aren’t. Other than that, I’m not sure of any other differences. The one in the picture above is a sun dragon.
Sorry, I wasn’t trying to say anything bad about the peacocks. I love my peacock oriental sun dragon and would really like to see the moon dragon to match! I guess I just typed my sentence wrong. I just wanted to really say that it’s not the same color that appears in the pictures. They are really hard to photograph. I would still like to see all blue dragons though. (Sorry, I like blue like Ski likes pink.)
Unfortunately, the peacock orientals aren’t really the same color as the picture. They are still mainly blue, but it’s a brighter blue with green and purple in it. There are darker ones however, with dark blue and purple. I would just love blue dragons though!
