So you think it might be worth a heads up to John just in case?

Yes, I think it’s best to just email it to him and let him make the decision. For me, it’s always difficult to tell how close is too close. This is one of the borderline cases to me.

I’m very happy with the grab bags that I managed to get from this batch. Kiya traded the copper pinto to me, and I received the golden pinto from the latest batch of 24. The golden one has some golden interference paint on his spots.

Windstone has a trade dress on their products, so both are potential problems. Here is a quote from Jennifer on the first page:

“Windstone has something called a Trade Dress on Windstone products. To put it simply- not only can Windstone protect itself from DIRECT fakes/copies, but anything that is close enough to have the look/style of a Windstone. This does include coloration to an extent too (e.g. a dragon painted with the same exact colors in the same places as a Windstone- EVEN IF the sculpture itself does not look like a Windstone).”

Here is a link that shows different views of the dragon so hopefully you can see what I’m talking about with similarities to the sculpture:

OK, so maybe it’s just be, but I would like to submit this to the court of public opinion:

            http://www.merflemunchies.com/StoreSelection/Products/hatchling.html

I don’t know this person, but I’ve watched her on DA for a while, and I’ve noticed a little bit of a…shall we say, trend, with her painting schemes. Down at the bottom of that page, she has hatchling sculpts painted in what looks very similar to Rainbow, Emerald Peacock, Gold, and Silver (the last two of which I know Windstone doesn’t have the market cornered on, but all the same).

What do you guys think? Coinkydink?

Doubtful. If you take a look at the scaling patterns on the stomach and the shape of the head, there are some definite similarities to the hatching empress. There are also jewels placed in the forehead as well. I don’t know if it is similar enough, but you may want to report this to John.

I voted “anything”. This is a wonderful dragon, and it would be a shame not to see it in production somehow.

A foot long PYO dragon would be quite daunting though. It gets painful holding the PYO keeper sometimes.

Bumping this thread since it looks like I’m going to need money to remove some bees from my house. Thank you for looking!

I’ve got bees nesting in my house. Oh joy! After researching it a bit, it doesn’t look like there’s going to be a cheap way to remove them either.

Last year a woodpecker drilled a huge hole in my chimney, and the year before that hail totaled my roof. Why did I buy a house again?

Auuuggghh ‘first world problems’ type whine.

I just ran out of hard-drive space on my computer for the first time in my life. I make a lot of digital art, too. I don’t know what to do!! AUGHGHGHGH.

Don’t buy a Segate Storage Back Up Hard Drive. HUGE waste of money!!!!!

Huh, I’ve had a Seagate back up drive for years now, and it works great. It was also a lifesaver when my 4 year old HP laptop crashed.

To be honest, I would recommend looking into backing everything up onto an external hard drive, then look into getting your computer a larger hard drive. I don’t think I can come close to filling up the one I have now.

I have a backup, and I’ll get a larger hard drive… but I can’t afford one currently. I am not sure what to do till I can! What a mess.

                    I’m sorry. 🙁 I

Huh, maybe you got a bad one or maybe a virus corrupted it. Seagate is supposed to be pretty good. Did you get your money back?

I’m pretty paranoid about viruses, and I make sure to run all kinds of scans before I even consider connecting it to my computer. I really don’t want to lose what’s on it.

I’m really interested in the pinto on the right. I have no luck in getting grab bag unicorns, so unfortunately I don’t have any appaloosa babies. What kind of small dragons are you interested in?
