How about Sausage pony??? HotDog and Sausage! π
Happy Birthday!!! Hope it’s a great one! π
Lol! Wasn’t sure where you were going with “warning labels” being the title! XD
Hope you find your keys!
Congrats Clouded_Leopard! I’m sure HotDog will love his new home! π
You work so hard for us crazy collectors Melody! We all love you and everyone else at Windstone so much! π
Can’t wait to see the new Dragon sculpt!
Yeah, I just keep pushing it off over and over again and I’m sure the person who gave it to me for Christmas is like JUST PAINT IT ALREADY! I just couldn’t live with myself if I made a mistake with it! XD
Good luck with your’s when you get to painting it!:)
I have asked this question myself since I got a PYO Keeper for Christmas and I am also afraid to start painting it without practicing on some sort of lineart first.
I sent a message to Melody through Deviantart saying:
I don’t really know where to ask this and I know your really busy, but I was wondering what you thought of making line-art’s for the PYO’s so that people could practice coloring them before they start working on the actual piece. I am getting my very first PYO for Christmas and I thought this would be really helpful for any first time painters.I have already tried making rough sketches of the keeper dragon to practice coloring him but I’m not very good at drawing all the details. I also tried printing out the picture of the keeper to practice coloring that but the details don’t really show up very well there either.
Thanks for your time!

I got a message Back from Melody saying:
Yes I have!
I actually did several coloring book style drawings, but we got stalled on this project because of copyright questions about it… I think we are being way paranoid, but that is what lawyers do to your head. I’ll bring up the subject again at Windstone.Like I said above, I’ve tried printing out the blank PYO pictures from the store and have been using that as a sort of lineart, but it’s really hard to see the details in the picture.
Hope this helps anyway! π
Yay! We saved HotDog with our crazy-ness!!!! lol! I hope he goes to a very loving home. π
As for myself, I shall wait for the next raffle and hope it’s a dragon! π
That’s absurd to think someone would say that to you DragOnfeathers, I know I can be a little sad and envious when I don’t win a Raffle but I just get back on the horse and wait and hope to see if the next Raffle is more amazing then the last and try again! I can’t even imagine pestering someone like that. I agree It’s okay to say “please consider me if you decide to trade” or whatever… But that comment to you was SO uncalled for.
Collecting is a very long and timely process and to say to someone that they don’t DESERVE to win something because they have such a big collection already? even though they worked hard and long for that thing that makes them so happy?
In away it just makes you happy that THAT person didn’t win because of their attitude towards other people.I thank Melody and Company for all that they do for us crazy collectors, because if it weren’t for them there would be no WindstoneEditions at all.
(Sorry for the little rant) Like other people have said, it really just makes you sad to hear someone lost their cool over these beautiful creations. This is BY FAR the best most friendly online community I have ever seen!
Love all you guys so much!!!

Save Hotdog from the fire pit! :O
Awwwwwww He’s got a little white spot on his bum! So adorable! π
Oh yes! Squeak Indigo!!! π
I like “A” the best. π
I sure hope 2012 is a WAY better year!!! Let us FLUSH 2011 down the toilet!!! π
Thanks!
I found some other paints in my basement the other day and tried a bunch of colors on a practice piece that’s also been lying around the house for ages, I found some neat color mixes that I liked which is good, but there is still more practice to be had! Plus I still haven’t received my PYO in the mail yet! -__-
Would the car paint be good for a finish coat? or is there something else that’s glossy and pretty that I could put on it when I’m done? I have used clear sealer on my paint projects before and sometimes it looks too thick and messy. :/
I just have sooo many questions I know.
Thank you so much for your time and tips! π
