How does that make it easier? I would think it would be harder (on the pocket book) because you have to find a gift for each person.
I don’t give gifts for many of them, but I do send a card at least. The ones I am close enough to that gifts are exchanged are the only ones I need to worry about in that respect.

Greater Basilisk wrote:And a question for the rest of the forum – how many of the rest of us have January birthdays? I do.
Mine is next Thursday (11th). Sixteen days after xmas. Fun fun! I’m hoping for a windstone from the parents (other than the three PYO griffins I’ve finally started painting!).
Another January snow baby! w00t! Happy birthday star! π

Not really. She’s generally grown tired of it, so only on random occasions. She mostly sticks to her tried and true favorite, Chantilly. This year she did find that she kinda likes Sarah Jessica Parker’s ‘Lovely’ (dad hates it though, so she won’t get it), and Donna Karan’s ‘Cashmere Mist’, which she will get tomorrow an hour after presents are opened (to throw her off guard, because she thinks my dad couldn’t get it). My dad and I are sneaky about gifts, and pretty good at guessing, at least where mom is involved. She on the other hand is not.

Nope. No cursing. My mom just wasn’t paying attention while visiting the perfume counter one day when we were out at the mall. My dad kept picking on my mom on the drive home. When she goes to sniff something new, I just ask her if the perfume tastes any better than ‘White Diamonds’. π
Starbreeze, the hat and scarf are just too cute! I like the coloration on your griffin too! So festive, and the bought you presents! Such thoughtful little windstones π
Whippet, that elf thing is almost kinda creepy. I love it! Glad the orientals are enjoying the holiday too π
Happy Holidays everyone! π
Try ‘White Diamonds’ perfume being sprayed in the mouth. That tops soap ANY day. YUCK!!!!
*My mom wanted me to smell a perfume she was interested in (I was about 11 or 12). I had been turned around looking at something else and was like “What did you just ACK! COUGH GAG GASP GET IT OFF MY TONGUE YUCK! EWW!” She sprayed it without really paying attention and it sprayed directly in my mouth. Needless to say she was extra good to me the rest of the day and every once in a while she gets reminded of it. π

Wow dragon! I’m glad your dragon is home and things are back. Good thing they were stupid enough to post a pic on the camera and they didn’t delete it before it was given back to you. Sounds like they are getting their just deserts. Brava! π
I spoke too soon! I just mentioned this to my dad and this is what he said:
Call the cops back to report the other stuff missing as well. Say you want to press charges. Be VERY stern and adament about this. It doesn’t matter that you got the camera back. It was taken from your property and you had asked them about it before. If they refuse to do anything say you will go to the State Police if they will do nothing.
Additionally, when you do go over to their place to confront them, do not go alone. Go with one or two other people (a whole pack of people might be seen as harassing). Do state that you know what was taken and missing and if it is not returned or ‘found’ from being ‘borrowed’ immediately, you are pressing charges with the police. Press charges anyways, but this may get them to give the stuff up rather than face charges, since they already had the camera. They can’t get away from that.
Keep us posted.
Good luck Dragon! If I was more intimidating, I’d definitely stop by and get your dragon back! I even know how to shimy some locks π Bump keys work too *whistles non-chalantly, polishes tarnished and duct tape-repaired halo*
If your landlord is decent and is already having problems with your neighbors, he can, and hopefully will, search the apartment if something in the fine print allows him to.
I’d call the police again and report the jewelry and anything else you’ve noticed is missing too to be added to the report. Tell them it isn’t able to be worked out between you and your neighbors and that you know for a fact that it was there when you left and gone when you returned and that the camera which was “borrowed” was way too high up for a 4 year old kid to get on his own. Bug them. Sometimes getting a state cop to look into something can help. Small town police agencies don’t like to deal with anything requiring paperwork as much as possible (not sure where in MA you are).
Good luck!
Oh, I can’t wait to see your PYO wolf! I adore that print!
Hehe…. Blue Jays are so much fun to watch too π

Death by emu! π
Wow! If only most of the other computer techs I’ve had to work with communicated so well, there would be fewer miscommunication problems! *gives round of applause – claps hands repeatedly in a circle around my head* π
