I’m graduating next spring from (what comes closest to) a musical college here
I think the word you are looking for is a “conservatory”
*ex-music education major here*
OOOOOH! 😯 He is a very pretty dragon! A rare beauty indeed, and well cared for too! Consider yourself very lucky! 😀
I sometimes airbrush a basecoat (usually white). The rest is all hand painted with little brushes.

HAHAHA! I have most of those books 8) Original Mage tradition books…. very yummy. *sigh* I miss having a gaming group.
Very nice windstone collection too! 😀
Awww, I love the prizm dragon and muse! *squeel*. Alas, no funds for him at the moment 😥
Back from the road trip. All is well and good. Took lots of pics and the weather was gorgeous. I even found a really kewl windstone dealer, who had a sale going on in her store while I was there. w00t w00t! So, I didn’t exactly come home empty handed. 😉
Edit: I’ll post pics this week or weekend. Need to find a new picture hosting site, since mine (Sony Imagestation) is closing their site. Also need to sort out any pics that really didn’t come out.
Also, keep in mind, $4000 is equivalent to about 2000 pounds sterling at the moment. The exchange rate between US dollars and Pounds sterling is hands down in the Brits favor (not including shipping and customs of course, but still cheaper in the long run).
ie. If it costs me $20 for something in the US right now, to get it in Britain would cost me the equivalent of a little over $40 for the same item. The dollar just isn’t doing well right now 🙁
If someone has the money to spend on something, then by all means, go for it if you want it 🙂
DM, drop in from time to time when you can. I get on at work most of the time, but if it’s busy or servers go down, the job comes first. I work nights, so there is only one other person generally around after the first hour or two, but when it’s busy, it’s all down to business. You have to do what you have to do.
I hope the winter will be busy for you, since it will help you replenish your savings 😉 (just don’t overdue it and get sick!)
Take care and check in when you can 🙂
Finally hitting the road for vacation (road trip through Maine and up into New Brunswick, Canada). A little late in leaving, but too many long days meant I needed sleep before driving for a week. I’m not taking the computer with me. I’ll be back Sunday or Monday (Oct. 1).
If the pink curlies or a green fledge should appear in the store, I would be extremely happy if someone could pick one up for me (pretty please with a cherry on top )
Take care and post when you can. RL comes first 🙂
I voted for Olimpia’s Red Gold by just a slim margin over the Red Flame color. No retiring Ruby though until I get my ruby lap (christmas)! 😉
I’ll be getting a brown scratcher. I just some other things got in the way, like all the poads and stuff 😉 Hopefully by Thanksgiving I’ll have one!
Mmloda, you’ll love your OW! He’s one of my favorite sculpts and will surprise you at how big he is if you’ve never seen one in person before 🙂

Something new called “The Windstone Minute!”
There was a BIN on ebay – I forgot what – that sold out in 45 seconds, I think.
Selling the pink curl? Isn’t that selling something you don’t currently have?
Sorry I wasn’t clear. Back when Windstone used to put curlies, chicks, griffins up as BINs on ebay something and I don’t remember what went in either 45 seconds or 1 min and 45 seconds. I honestly don’t remember what it was (griffin chick? curlie?) but it was a feeding frenzy to end all feeding frenzies. People who had been sitting at their computer all day missed whatever it was if they were only refreshing every 2 to 3 minutes. And I think a couple of people who stopped to read the whole auction missed out too. Wish I could remember what it was for….someone must remember?
The green fledgies 😥

Arrrrr! Talk like a Pirate Day, Matey! HAHAHAHA!
Ahhh, I love college. How I miss it! A group of us used to randomly pick days to dress up in garb. We’d also randomly go out on the middle of campus (small campus on a hill) and ‘stick fight’ with bokken (campus security in the middle of nowhere doesn’t think of things like these… just wooden sticks and play things ), shinai, bo, jo, and long sticks. We kept our swords and knives home, though occassionally, a few of use would head up to the woods to our little practice place to practice with our throwing knives *whistles non-chalantly*
Gotta love it! Your day sounds like absolute fun! Gods I can’t wait until I can afford to hit grad school!
