Yeah, that is a year’s worth of snow, even for the Buffalo area, in just a few days. Crazy winter weather! Hopefully people are able to get their roofs cleared (that’s a lot of snow to have on them, especially the more flat roofs… at least it is the light fluffy powder, or it could be a lot worse!) and everyone helps each other out. Did you have any thunder snow?
I know some ski places that would love this right about now. They’d be all set for the rest of the rest of the winter.
I would be enjoying this much snow if I had it, and I wasn’t so busy so I could actually shovel/snow blow it. My dog loves snow, but I think he would turn back inside at that amount!
My friend in Grand Island is missing the majority of this snow, which is what fascinates me so much about lake effect snow. You could be getting nailed with feet of snow and your neighbor a mile down the road is getting just a dusting. We got a little lake effect where I am, but I’m far enough east and at just the right angle to Lake Ontario, that we usually don’t get much ever from the lake effect.
This is like the snows they get up in Labrador sometimes (which is why some homes there have a door on the 2nd floor, so you can walk out onto the top of the snow in such cases).

If even something as simple as a RUMOR gets them to release the rest of the Gargoyles seasons on DVD, I will shed a happy tear and need a defibulator. I will be very cautiously optimistic, and hope to not be disappointed, but all I can envision is something along the lines of Warriors of Virtue. *shudder*

I just met Jonathan Frakes 2-3 weeks ago. He seems more focused on the directing end of the industry now, though we didn’t discuss that (wish I had asked what his future projects were). He is looking well, but definitely not his Cmdr. Riker days. 🙂 Marina Sirtis is as lovely as ever (met her too… lovely, warm, genuinely pleasant person), but she only needs to lend her voice for Demona.
This was answered in another Quest thread, but I’d figured I’d be safe and ask the question again. Are Official PYO Windstones acceptable?
As taken from the first post of the official rules for this quest, yes, PYOs can be used, but the quality of the painting nor the color scheme of the PYO will not be considered as part of the entry.

In briefly thinking, I’m pretty sure I do, but I don’t have the time to put a picture together at the moment. I’ll try and get something together later this fall when things quiet down (and I can ‘make’ a chessboard in the right size… I actually don’t own a chessboard).
The timing works perfectly for me. I’ll be done with my conventions/travel, my certification exam, and having 1 final out of the way (half semester class) with time to paint before early November.
You need some fun shadow decals or detailing on your Kia now, to make it look unique on the outside from other, similar vehicles! Maybe something on the hood that looks like a ninja turtle face?
Based on the photo posted by etruscan from Quest 2 and comparing my bat-eared fox next to one of my fennecs, I can tell you that the arctic fox is about the same size as the fennec (if you don’t count the ears of course). The top of the head of the fennec comes to the bottom of the head of the bat-eared fox and the top of the fennec’s ear tips are a little bit up the side of the bat-eared fox’s ears.
