If you guys read on the grab bag uni thread in the general windstone forum, I saw at least a few people including myself were online the entire time they were in the store and didn’t buy one. It’s not fair to assume they all got sold to people who already had one, or even that most of them did. They’re still going to sell out really fast. Even with a limit of one they would still sell out fast. I think this batch went out in 20-30 minutes, with a 1 per limit that would still only be an hour they’d be up. I think the reason the limit is 2 is because that’s what the result was from the poll Jennifer posted a few weeks back.
My suggestion to people who can’t be online in the evening or whenever they tend to go on sale (most new store items have been going live around 7pm-9pm where I am, EST) is to get another forum member to get you one. I’m sure there are people who would be willing to buy one and send it to you unopened. I would do it but since I live in Canada it would be expensive with shipping and customs and all that (ship is $10, customs is an additional $20 for each young unicorn) but there are lots of forum members who are online regularly. There are more going in the store friday 🙂

Hannah I was wondering that too. I think you can keep buying each time they’re restocked. I had one added to my cart and was about to check out before I stopped myself XD Not 100% sure though.
There are 28 of them in store this time…they’ve been up for 20 minutes and are still there. Woo. I am also broke so won’t be buying more (I have 3 now though so I think I’m good) but Susie said there will be more stocked on friday 😀
I was showing my friend all the squeetastic photos of these guys, and she insists that none of them are dun or grulla. She thinks Caper is an “Amber Champagne”- how elegant sounding! I mean it sort of looks right:

Rose Dust is soooo pretty. *dies* She’s the only one I’ve seen that doesn’t have a line of brown under the necklace. Or maybe it’s just the same colour as the coat. And pink jewels too! I just love this thread. So much cute in one place.
I got my first guy in the mail today from skeeterdeee, it’s the bay pinto “cyprus” from a few pages back. I’m going to wait until my surprise ones get here and take pictures of the 3 together though. I’m hoping they arrive by friday. The one I got is so much prettier in person, the painting on these guys is just so detailed! I’m going to have to unplug my internet when the new batch goes into the store. Hehe
Mongolian wild horses are “dun” which is pretty much the same basic colour but a different gene. Buckskins don’t have a dorsal stripe down the back usually (if they do it’s lighter) and they have stripes on their legs, and have white in their hair. Buckskin and palomino are “creme” genes… so a chestnut horse with creme is a palomino, and a bay horse with creme is buckskin. Actually I think the dun gene is similar… dun+ chestnut is red dun (like “Caper” that fairyhearted was selling), dun+ bay is the typical buckskin looking dun (like the mongolian wild horses) and dun+black is the silver grulla colour, like the production ones or like grayling.
I don’t know much about the colour genetics though… like how you would get a tobiano pintaloosa silver grulla… suffice to say that the colours on these grab bag unicorns are quite rare in real horses!
I love seeing these photos! Dolente and Duneflower are so pretty. I love the buckskin colour. Kalandra, grayling is just amazing. Silver grulla with overo spots and blue jewels, just perfect! What a beauty.
I’m so anxious about getting mine. I’m hoping they arrive by the end of the week, which they probably won’t. I’m sure I’m going to have to pay customs too so that will slow them down even more. Rawr impatience! The anticipation is killing me. Ah well.
Wow wolfen, love your space. That desk really is epic! I did spot a few ponies in there though! I have an account on the arena and trading post, but I never use the trading post much anymore. I’m quite active on the arena though. No worries about the trade… I didn’t even remember we ever had one arranged to be honest 🙂
I’m not a huge breyer collector. I like the christmas ones, the thoroughbred racehorses, and have a few others. I’m not sure you can see them in the photos. The racehorses are in a glass case beside my tv (you can see them in the picture with my cat), and the others are way up high on top of the cabinet in the kitchen. (you can see their feet in the second last photo…) I don’t have space for too many new collections.

Aww ashley those are cute. So you have 3 leopard appys now huh? And all 3 are different too. I like the ones with big spots better actually… at first I thought it looked like mould (I’ve said this about real appys though) but it is pretty. You have one with big spots, one with little spots, and then emmaline with patches of little spots, hehe. I’m hoping mine arrive this week, I’d trade you depending on what I get. I’m so excited for mine to arrive, I wish shipping here was faster. Haven’t got the pink curl yet either!

skeeterdee he’s gorgeous! That sucks about the horn though, stupid post office. I like the overo spots, he’s really pretty.wow hannah I didn’t even notice the cat got into one of the pictures. Crafty cat. The white ponies with pink hair are birthflower ponies, each one has a different flower symbol representing a different month. I got the whole set some time ago, but the way they look on the shelf they cover the symbols of each other. But yes, so many ponies. They were my first love, before I’d ever heard of windstones. I think there’s around 500 of them now 🙂
