Yes Pam said 150 to 200 unicorn horns where found . What happened to them . Unplated they could be painted . Or gold leafed by Pyo artists .
You guys know more than me! I don’t know ! I haven’t heard that they were pyo horns, though I would be out of that communication loop because the pyos go straight from casting to finishing and don’t come past me.I did notice some pyo unicorns on a casting rack, but I thought those were relics. We need an “ask Pam” section.
We should offer the horns unplated!

Also, maybe for ease of shipping (and I’ve heard from some painters) not install the horn prior to shipping?

A hatching Maiasaur can be picked up much more inexpensively than $150 if you just watch ebay for a bit. I think I got mine for around $30.

Well, I’m very sorry to hear that. hes’ almost 2 hours drive for me, BUT if you are interested (and if he responds to Ontario emails) I can ask if he still has the T-Rex and see if we can move on from there.

Well, I do feel a bit bad. so, I emailed him anyway. We’ll see what (if any) response I get. If I hear anything about it being available still, maybe I can talk him into sending it to you.
Honestly, if it’s the shipping issue, it’s not a big deal to ship a small piece across our border! I’d wrap anything the same way for across town or across the country. There’s a teeny tiny bit of paperwork. Who can’t do that? Anyway, we’ll just see how it all goes.

As usual it’s buyer beware and do research. I’m sure many of us have bought a “lot” of items just to get a particular piece. Depends too on if the seller will even ship out of Canada. However, I thought I’d post this anyway because I do know that some members here might be looking for dinos. He’s also selling them individually, so myabe the TRex if anyone wants him might be worth whatever he’s charging?

I don’t shop for dinos, so I’m not sure about prices. I did see a hatching velociraptor that was around 175 (I think) on eBay not too long ago.

I did, Etruscan! All I did was take a very watered down cup of tea and use a paintbrush to cover the whole piece with it so it had a very pale color to it. Then I used a half a cup of tea (with two teabags in it) to try and darken certain areas on the piece. Since the Pup took the stain slowly, I just went over those areas repeatedly until I was happy with the color! It was so super easy and it even left him smelling great! Hahaha! 🙂
Did you prime him first, or did you just stain the gypsum?
