I work weekends at Penney’s and I will say that over the past month or so (Back to School) I have seen the store more trashed then I have in the past year and a half or so. That generally means we have plenty of people in looking and more than likely buying. I haven’t asked managers about sales goals lately, but we have more staff and more hours to go around now. Our weekly shipments are moving into peak for the Christmas season. Which is about three to four trucks a week, with 25-30 pallets to break down (not including hanging things) on each truck. And I don’t see a ton of stuff in the stockroom, so it’s on the floor, and it’s going somewhere.
Things are picking up a little at the paper too. There were more ads to do today for tomorrow’s paper than there have been. It could just be the looming Christmas season, but I will agree that, ever so slowly, things might be starting to look up again.
Well, at long last, the website I designed for Aibo Hospital is up. I still have a lot of work to do, but some of it is waiting on the ‘business owner’ to take some photos of her different color Aibos for the Flash content I have going to go into the Aibo’s page.
There are even some neat gadgets that I managed to work in so that she will be able to update her front page without me and without knowing HTML/CSS. That part I am quite pleased with.
I’ll keep working on the Flash content, and probably bump this post from the depths of pages when that’s done too, just for the heck of it.
Let me know if everything works so for for you guys!
And finally finished! Relief! I hate deadlines on complicated stuff. 😛
Pics sent, drag0n, (even though he’s not quite done, I’ll send you more on the 2nd)
I think I can safely say that I ought to be done by the end of the week at last. Only a little bit left to paint, then I can seal and antique.
Gonna say. I’m not quite done and I thought I had until the second to show a pic and until the 6th to ship.
Three more days for what?
I agree with Chris. GET ANGRY. Do you have documentation that you told your supervisors that this was going on? And they did nothing? File a police report, go to court. You will win. You did nothing wrong. You told him no and that ought to have been that with nothing more to speak of. I suspect a power play, especially since he went so far as to assault you. Fight back, the SOB deserves to lose his job and the people who blame you? Are no better than he is. Victim blaming is foul and I can’t stand the people who do it.
I am furious just reading this, and I can assure you from past high school groping shenanigans, I react violently to unwanted physical attention. It didn’t even happen to me and I want to beat the guy senseless.
Good luck, and I’m very sorry you had to suffer this at all.
Whew. One side more or less done. I just have to keep my mother from falling in love with it.
On to the other side, which will hopefully go faster now that I’ve got it figured out.
I never watched Wolf’s Rain. The only anime I’ve liked enough to actually follow it is Inuyasha. …and I have no idea how I’d do an Inuyasha themed wolf.
One of these days, when I’m feeling particularly ambitious, I might do Shiranui, too.
Now open. I don’t take these often, if you liked ‘Fallen’ consider this an opening.
I do have some prices posted in the PYO commission sticky, but they will vary widely depending on what the job and/or the sculpt is. I’m hoping to make a trip to the UK to visit a friend sometime next year and I need to make some dough to buy the obscenely expensive plane ticket (and I don’t want to sell the Windstones I actually still have…) among other things.
Some examples:
I’ve started printing out pictures of the blank statues and coloring in how I’d like to (or you would like me to) paint it, that will be happily included with your piece.
Any questions, plz PM me!
I also still have a PYO Wolf in my possession who I’m considering painting as Shiranui from the Okami game to compliment Amaterasu above and to sell. If anyone would be interested in that, give me a poke.
ETA: Yes, I can finish stuff by Christmas, if you commission soon enough!
I’d be so generous with myself as to say that I might be somewhere in the vicinity of 60-70% done with ONE SIDE.
*facedesk*
This feels a lot more like homework, now that I have to finish it, finish crocheting a baby blanket and design, print, address and send bridal shower invitations. All in/by that same week.
;P
What do you guys mix yours with? Do you mix them in with your paints or do you use another medium?
