If anyone is interested, I’m looking to make some extra so I can fund a plane ticket to the UK. There’s not much in the way of PYOs available for painting to sell so I thought I’d offer something cheaper.
I’ll take a few $10 8.5×11 sketch commissions ($10 includes shipping), which is a sketch on cardstock of one subject with a simple type background.
PM me if you’d like one.
I will post photos when I get home this evening. I will be making a big trip to the UK this spring and the plane ticket is going to be obscene, so I need the moneh!
He is mint, signed, with tag and box and I have his COA, though it’ll take some digging to find it.
Offers start at $100, an offer of $200 buys him outright.
I’ll take offers through Sunday evening (and payments are OK, so long as he’s paid for by the end of the year).
I think she’s looking for both. I just want to trade my curlie for the oriental. Thanks though!
Anyone want to trade theirs for an EmPea curl? >.< I missed them.
I think as mortal critters, we’re given to thinking about how fragile our bodies are and how tenuous our connection to this existence really is. You say you’re a born again Christian, have you talked to your pastor or someone in your congregation about your fears? Your pastor especially may have something to say to comfort you.
Also know that the doubt you reference is something every single one of us suffer from time to time. I do. I’m sure my mother does, but she doesn’t talk about it. My grandmother, I think, probably no longer feels it, as she’s mostly just living for us now, she has been ready to go Home for a long time now.
I think, from time to time, about my mortality, but mostly it’s about the aftermath and what will happen to some of the people I leave behind. I’m not afraid to die, as I’m like you, I’m secure in what will happen, but I’m not ready either.
I hope you find the best solution to ease your mind.
Their copper patina oriental for an emerald peacock curlie?
Have a preview of Shiranui. She’s a couple sessions away from being done still. I sprung for some Golden paints (the iridescent white on her wings and the red interference shot through her fur and on her wings that you…can’t see in the photo.) It’s hard to find a way to represent a character that’s essentially made of light.
There’s still some red markings that need to go on her back legs and some strategic antiquing will also happen after she’s been sealed.
(She’ll also be for sale when I’m done)
Read a sticky? Surely you jest. ;P
I just didn’t think to look there as I didn’t recall brushes ever being discussed. Shows how well I’ve been thinking today.
What kinds/brands of brushes do you all like to use to do your PYOs? I find that they tend to chew through the ones I have at a pretty startling rate (like, one set of brushes to only one or two PYOs), including some of my ‘good’ brushes. So I’m pretty reluctant to use the ‘good’ brushes on the gypsum.
If you have a brand or type of brush that seems to hold up well to the gypsum, I’d be happy to know!
That’s just wrong. I’m very sorry it turned out to be yet another Big Problem.
Wishing you guys the best of luck and a speedy, full recovery for Danny.
Hah, and I totally missed this post.
Thanks guys!
I don’t know how much help this is to you, but here are a couple ebay listings of the phial and the candle lamp. Just in case you are able, financially, to replace them.
If this is just pouring salt in the wound, I’m sorry!
That just sucks that your shelf with all your pretties had to fall.
ETA: There are lots of listings of the Evenstar necklace, but I couldn’t find one with a stand…
This girlie:
She is the first PYO I ever did. The feathers of her wings (it’s hard to see in photos) are tipped with silver. It appears that I may have to cough up to replace a dance costume that has disappeared into the ether and I have not begun the Shiranui PYO have have planned.
Offers start at $100 and I’ll continue to accept them through the end of next Saturday (the 10th).
Updated!
Yes, I know. 😉 I am a Transformers junkie. This guy is just ‘Fallen’ though. No ‘the’ for him, he doesn’t burn at the seams.
