What website is this, Crimson?
I have my computer back, yay!
I’ll keep the Sun open for offers until the end of next week. If Shiranui gets any offers, that’s also when she will end, but if she does not, I’ll leave her up until she does.
Sorry dracco, no the post it didn’t fall off, I just got distracted! They’re in the first post now!
No problem. I’ll make a mental post it to do it tomorrow after work and staple it to my shirt. 😉
I still have my Okami Shiranui PYO wolf for sale. Make an offer!
Hoping for $100 or will trade outright for a teal eyed copper patina oriental (or young oriental).
Thanks guys!
Yes, if course you do. It’s your photo, you took it and you own the copyright to it.
Jennifer wrote:Rusti, are you sure what you mean isn’t ‘contemporary’ … meaning created in recent history? e.g. all the art being created today, right now, is contemporary, simply because of the creation date. 🙂 Unless looking at it from a museum point of view, which means most any art created after WWII. Confusingly, ‘Modern Art” refers less to the fact that it is being created in modern times and more to the fact that it was an art movement a few decades ago.
Art classification is very complicated and sticky and I don’t like to play much with it because it stains my fingers blue… XD
The only constant I know is that with any art, there will always be those that like it, and those that do not!
Both Seurat and Matisse ended up in my ‘Modern Art” history book, which also contained references to Dadaism, Cubism, Surrealism, and towards the end, Manga/anime, believe it or not. The modern art ‘class’ I had covered up to World War I, or therebouts and then ended.
Classifying art *is* a sticky subject, no argument there! Somedays I think Bosch needed to be born a few centuries later so he could have been part of the Surrealism movement, but as it is, he shows up in Renaissance classes.
I don’t claim to be an expert, though. I took 18 hours of Art History (only about 6 of which were my choice, I thought ‘why not?’) to get the minor to go with my graphic design degree. The minor is about as useless as my retention!
Re: Modern art: Keeping in mind that most art was ‘modern’ at some point in history.
Seurat and Matisse, and even the Impressionists were scorned by their peers during their day. Now they’re in museums and their work sells for millions.
Ditto that this is super sweet of you!
Count me in too?
I just watched the trailer for “How To Train Your Dragon”.
Is it just me or does the dragon look a bit like Stitch?
*sigh* NM. evening trip to the vet on an emergency basis took care of that notion for the time being…
She’s pretty! I’ll have to count pennies when I get home.
I’m so psyched for Sean, finally getting his shot for his IMAX film. I haven’t been sucked in like this, rooting for somebody to get what they’re after for a while now.
Anybody else been watching this series?
I think ebay sells gift certificates. You could get one of those, maybe and suggest they buy a windstone with it?
Still available.
