Just on size…I am very new here, but…I have gotten in a winged wolf, a keeper, and a griffon. So I have been very comfortable with the smallest to largest PYOs that are offered. But…since I only paint for myself and family (just waiting on more stuff to be in stock) I don’t know how doing a lot lot lot of pieces would feel…but I have LOVED the whole PYO experience…it has been wonderful…just waiting on a unicorn to come back in stock! 🙂 and I LOVE all the new ideas for PYOs large or small it would be a lot of fun! and I would pay whatever I needed to, to ship them…anyone would if they wanted the piece that much I would think…
I very much agree along the same lines as Jennifer. If you are buying a special piece…then the painter of that piece should be recognized as the painter….we even do that for PYOs…we sign the bottoms so everyone knows who painted it. Hiding the artist is not practical or nice to the person who is going to spend hundreds of dollars on a piece and they have no idea who P.S. is…
Wampus, do you have Iris? And I would love to see a picture of Iris and Black Ice! They sound so pretty! I am still waiting on Beauty! Worse than christmas! <3
Oh grats Drag0n!!!!!!!! He sure was pretty! And I can imagine he cost quite a bit…last i had seen him he was at 922!
You know sometimes flaws make them better. I ordered a silver for my husband’s birthday so I opened it when it got here to make sure it was ok. Everything was find except for a quarter sized spot of light silver on the back of his wing, where it should have been the dark silver…now if it were my piece I wouldn’t care, so I had to beat around the bush to ask him if he wanted me to send it back, and he said no…we both agree that some flaws make the piece more unique 🙂
She was a total blast to paint! And I am working on a griffon, and a keeper right now 🙂 lol painting to the point my fingers are numb! ‘Tundra’ will always be my favorite piece though 🙂 How would I go about getting my own PYO folder in the PYO Gallery?
I agree with everyone. 7 years ago your beautiful work taught a young teenage navy sailor what it was to really want something, and to save her pennies for it (my beloved kirins). Now years later with the death of my baby Tundra, out on a search for a sculpture that would look like her, I found PYOs, and a whole new world of people who loved your work as much as I do. You have picked an amazing fellow artist in Jennifer Miller. I am sure she didn’t have to be so nice to me, or be so kind and understanding of all my novice painting questions. She did all those things with her heart, and that is the kind of person people dream about working for and with. You, Melody, capture peoples wonder as they stare into the eyes of your art, and you fuel the fire to be creative by offering PYOs. My whole heart thanks you, without you I would never have been able to paint Tundra.
