Hi Richard, emerald is a retired color and the Oriental sculpt has been out of production for quite awhile. They do pop up not uncommonly on the resale market, though you may have to wait a bit for one. You might try putting a want ad up here and on the Facebook site if you visit there. Haunt eBay while you’re at it, along with ShopGoodwill, Etsy, Mercari etc. Be.
prepared to pay a bit for it, and insist on double boxing as this is one of the pieces known for breaking easily in shipping.
Sorry that happened to you!my husband’s Social Security payment is $544.70 short that’s over a third of his monthly payment! He’s 80 and disabled (Alzheimers, COPD etc), a veteran whose VA benefit remained the same, obviously not working and never worked for the government so Fairness act shouldn’t affect him, no back child support his kids were grown when he divorced his first wife, no alimony owed… just wtf and excuse the French. i’m scrabbling now just to make the house payment due in a couple days.
Also odd that the payment wasn’t an even amount, it ended in 30 cents…lol- he’s quality control. Gotta check the production methods.

I think your idea of matte spray/ brush on gloss in spots would work well. I have used spray sealer on figures (non WIndstones), then brushed glossy clear nail polish on spots, and it has worked great.Mine came (thank you! so beautiful as always, i really appreciate it) but my mother’s has not. She lives with me. Weird.
I haven’t heard from her for quite a while. I hope all is well for her. The dogs are loving the cold, but we shall see about the plants. We’re about so miles north of our old home and on the other side of the river, it does get colder here.

Might you have a defective piece? I’ve never noticed that the gypsum of PYOs was softer than that of production pieces. Do you mean as blatant a difference as between greenware ceramics and fired pieces?
Welp, my choice of color has exactly 0 votes on that list. Guess it will be a very long time coming. Maybe that’s a good thing- more time to save.
