Really? Was it a decent repair? I can live with a decent repair.
She’s the one that got the prototype empea OW for me for Christmas, so she knows what they can go for. Maybe it’s that it was so cheap in comparison to what I usually get? I’ve made some purchases lately, and told her what they went for.
What really got me is that she put the unicorn on my watch list last night, and I told her about the one in the mall and not to exceed maybe $25 with shipping.
If you lay hands again on an emerald coiled mother you’ve got a buyer all lined up lol.
😡 I let my mother use my eBay account; she is unsure on the computer (so I have to sell her stuff for her anyhow) and that way she has my feedback. Well, she just bid $45 with shipping for a broken baby unicorn that can be found new in a local shop for $35. MOOoooOOM! “but I wanted one!” so why not buy one from the mall undamaged for less? I mean she has money in my Paypal account, so it’s not out of my pocket, but the idea of it… 😳
and nope, I’m not replacing it for her if she’s going to be silly!
I’m in the process of painting my first PYO, a wolf for my fiance (he has a husky). I’m not an artist (have dabbled though) and have never taken a class beyong what’s offered in high school, so this will in no way measure up to what most people here do, but he’s happy with it so far (he caught me painting it 👿 ).
Still being worked on, wings only just started, flash glare on shoulder and stifle make them lighter than they are. Misty is a dark one, just about black with lighter undercoat showing through in places.
Actually it seems a bit better than what I was afraid it would come out as, which leads me to my question. My heart dog was an Australian Shepherd. Pip meant everything to me; just look at my Internet name! I even have a tat of a pic I drew of her. Since this PYO diesn’t seem TOOO horrible, I was thinking of making one up to look like her. But like most of her breed she had broken ears and a bobtail. I was thinking of sculpting drop ears onto the wolf, and nipping off its tail and sculpting a feathered rear. Would this altering of the sculpt be in violation of Windstone policy? I would not be selling the piece at all.
I was on eBay a while ago, and it came up for me under Windstone.
Hi! I remember how helpful you were when the stupid PO used my Oriental I got from you for a battering ram or something. Did finally get the insurance money back!
So will you be taking ‘special requests’ lol? Keeping a list of people looking for specific figures?
As for pics, they need to be hosted somewhere like Photobucket or Imageshack (or your own website), then paste the URL between (capitalize the ‘img’s). The website should just have a bar with that address, so you can just copy and paste it in your message.
Sorry if that’s not clear, I’m something of a computer neophyte myself. So if I could figure that out, anyone can!I’m willing to try and go for a heavy SK and take my chances that they’ll end up in production and I could have gone cheaper. However, I’ll hold out for a color I really want- old green would just make my decade. Or some shade of green, I know there won’t be any more empeas but something…
OK, I’ll have to find a Sandicast retailer. My mom breeds Arabs, and she’d LOVE that beautiful model.
I want one! SOOOoo adorable!
Hah, I’d missed that thread. Whippet, that custom is AWESOME! Of course, yours always are, but I love the grossout over the pony cuteness! (my daughter collects MLP, I don’t even know how many we have, but over 100 for sure. I encourage her in it, they’re pretty indestrucible and suit her tastes- and aren’t that bad an investment for her future. There are even a few I’ve liked and kept for myself, and I was too old to have had them in their heyday)
I’ve planned on doing a zombie custom out of one of the Dollar General newborn pony knockoffs, but was going to do the dangling eye a little different, and make hanging guts out of rubberbands. Haven’t gotten around to it yet though.
Welcome! I’m a newbie to the forum myself, though i’ve been collecting for 20+ years. (my collection is smaller than many here for all that)

Must..have..emerald..mother..coiled…
I got my empea curlie a few days ago joy! He isn’t from the latest release; SPark sold him to me win I missed the 1st batch. I also got my 1st spectral yay! (and 1st personal dragon in peacock; I like peacock best for the spectrals). Now all I really REALLY need is the emerald coiled mother and rising peacock spectral (along with a PYO, Secret Keeper etc. lol) Also got the wizard froggy from Emerald, she was WONDERFUL. Now just waiting on my fledgling and I’ll photograph the cowpie with him.

I saw the $150 one on Ebay and I THINK that’s about what she paid (on Ebay of course last year, that was an experience!). I realize he probably isn’t worth that. Or, maybe like they do things on a different collectible message board I visit sometimes; sort of auctioned -the seller takes offers for a week and highest one wins.
I took another pic of him out in the sun today and edited it in.
