Loaded question, I know.
I want to use this picture of my pony as my avatart, but can’t figure how to resize it to make it work.
Could someone help PLEASE?Thank goodness I’m not the only one. Of course that’s how group starts…
I like the stockpiling idea. I’ll order more Monday!Do you work with a picture of the color scheme you want to use in front of you, or do you just start painting?
Do you find yourselves constantly thinking about what the next one will look like?
Do you worry that the PYOs will stop being made?Oh geesh, I think I’m obsessed!

Ditto that! I love the kirins. I just got pics of the kirin Arlla did for me. I just want to pinch his cheeks!
I want to play!
Shame on me, I haven’t read the whole thread, but could you give a rundown of the “rules”? Like will the person you paint for ask for certain colors or are you free to paint what you want?Nevermind. Sometimes I react and then read…
It looks great.
So that’s the same sculpt? I like that you made the face more black.😯
Much better! Did you try drybrushing again?Ooh, I smell competition!
Ski, are you going to let Star have more than you?!Okay, I see what you mean. That was where I was trying to give the feathers banding but DH kept saying darker, darker, darker. I had originally painted the whole thing a creamy sandstone as the base color and then started layering the dark brown.
Do you think I should darken it up more to hide the banding?
Thanks for the critique. I don’t mind at all. It’s how we get better! I would like to get good enough to put a couple on Ebay but am afraid they’ll get it and use it as a target!
Thanks Whippet, I appreciate the feedback.
Could you describe where the paint looks blotchy so I can compare?
Thanks!Thank you! Awww, you made me blush.
I’ll try to match the claws and post updates.
Here’s my first griffen. DH says the beak needs to be yellow, but when I tried, even a darker yellow made the beak stand out so much! So, any suggestions are welcomed.
Grrr. I would at the very least leave a neutral feedback!
Please let us see pictures when you have him fixed up!

I like the webpage as well.
She’s beautiful! Star, you are lucky!
I was thinking of doing a similar color scheme for my blue eyed kirin. Back to the drawing board! -
