I´m glad I could help a little bit 🙂
Funny enough I ordered nearly all my acrylic paints in England, even though we have some very nice art stores here in Germany. But I love the liquitex soft body paints and they were way cheaper in the UK (even with shipping and all). I bought them at Ken Bromley art supplies (http://artsupplies.co.uk/) and they had very reasonable shipping charges to Germany and lots of sales throughout the year. Maybe this could be something for you as well?Maybe some of you remember the Duath griffin I did some time ago. I also did a Phoenix in the same colour scheme as a commision from a forum member. It worked so well that I wanted to try this on a wolf, too. After finishing Phaesia I finally had time to do this and am very pleased with the result.
I proudly present: ThasáliPersonally I would not recommend using Copics. The Gypsum absorbs anything liquid rather quickly so your copics would be used up in no time. Even only using copics on normal paper instead of the special copic paper drains them really quick. 🙂
I use acrylics only with brushes and I think it is rather difficult to use so much paint, that the details get lost.
I´ve lived in Kyoto for some time and there was a great artist shop called “Backs Gazai”(http://www.backsgazai.com) as far as I can see you can order nearly anything there. I also found different types of Acrylic paint at the larger 100yen shops. There is also a shop called Shimojima that has artist equipment in nearly any price range: http://www.shimojima.co.jp/eng/stores/index.htmlOH YES!!!
The new ones with the globes are nice but I definitely like the eggs better. And silver will go soooo well with this color scheme.
Thank you!It will be cool to see yours Moonbeam!
They still have not arrived. Tracking say they have not even landed in Germany. It´s been nearly a month already 🙁 But it´s my own fault for not having them shipped with priority mail. >_<
But on the bright side: My favorite (in the wanted section) has not officially shown up yet, so I can still hope that she might be in my package 🙂Ah, well it was not meant to be… 🙁
I won´t be able to wait for another 2 hours. It´s already way past midnight here and I have to be up bright and early tomorrow.Good night and good luck to everyone who tries to get one!
Kiya mentioned somewhere that there are “only” 42. So that pic should show all of them.
It will be pretty tough getting one >_<
Good luck to everyone!I think the price will be decided very shortly before they hit the store. It has been like that with nearly all the Grab Bags.
Seems like I will be camping in front of my PC tonight 🙂
Oh, very nice recipes! Thank you!
I love guacamole but mostly make the quick version with only Avocado, finely chopped tomato, a few drops of tabasco, salt and pepper.
I need to try that with your salsa recipe instead! My husband and I love to eat french fries with Guacamole instead of ketchup 🙂
So many pretty curlies! I love that they all got mineral or opalite globes.
I hope they don´t come out today >_<
I hope so much I will be able to get one, too. But if they are going in the store around the same time that the others got put in, it should be possible 🙂
Sadly I´ve missed it, too.
Are they already finished? I´m excited to see the class pic and hopefully I will be able to grab one 🙂I´ve just finished a new phoenix, called Phaesia, inspired by a male common pheasant.
The toughest part with this one was the stone. First I tried to make it a very light colour with some pastel-highlights. But that just did not work. So I tried painting it like a normal grey stone but was not happy with it either. And then I found this fake moss that you can use for modelbuilding and thought “why not” 🙂 I think it worked very well. Hope you like it, too!
How do you take such gorgeous photos.
That would be because of my extreme phototaking skills… I wish 😉 No, my husband has a very good camera, a Canon powershot G15, that makes really good photos especially with good weather like we had today!
And thank you Hannah! I´m very glad you like her!
