What an awesome prize! Congratulations!
Greater Basilisk wrote:That would be great. As for the High Tower castle, I know it’s not my money, but I’d sure like to see you have it, just so you still have all the castles.
As it turns out, I was the 2nd highest bidder — the winner was the 2nd highest bidder in the Arch Castle auction! π
Greater Basilisk wrote:Are you going after that High Tower castle, Mimi?
I’m still trying to decide. While it is a nice castle, I’m not sure how much I like the “unfinished” aspects. π
Greater Basilisk wrote:And could you post up photos of your collection with tha OOAK castle you won last?
Mos def! I haven’t had a chance to get pictures yet (it only arrived last Friday), but hopefully I can get some pictures this weekend.
Mos def! π
Greater Basilisk wrote:I hope Mimitrek gets the castle so her collection stays complete.
Thanks for the thought! π
Greater Basilisk wrote:I want that SK so bad. But I have a feeling that if I were to get her, the ALSK might pop up a week later and I^’d be too broke to snag her.
Maybe Melody could give you an idea of when the ALSK is coming up. Have you checked with her?
dragonessjade wrote:Mimi…I got a Armadillo cake (Red Velvet cake might be the correct term) as my bf likes to call it. It is a red cake, with white icing and red lettering and roses. See Here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_velvet_cake
It was really good.Mmmm….that looks delicious! I’d never heard of Red Velvet cake before but now I want to try some. π

Too cute, Mimi! π
I love that squirrel, Mimi!!! π
Glad you guys liked it! πdragonessjade wrote:Thank you everyone. I love those pics. Well I took yesterday and today off so I could get my driver license renewed, have lunch with my sisters, nephew, and bf. We went to a resturant called The Mayan. They have divers that dive off cliffs into water and do a whole show. My bf gave me a big birthday cake, some McFarland dragons and a nice card. Today we are suppose to go to Wendover and gamble a little. hehe I got various of other things from family members. I did get some Windstones. I got a Albino Pearl Male griffin and a Rainbow Rising Spectral from myself. π
Wow, it sounds like you had a great birthday! So what kind of cake was the birthday cake?

I’d have to say, I’d also opt for Secret Keepers. But I’d have to get a bigger house!
Happy Birthday!
Congrats, Dragoness! What have you been doing lately?
starbreeze wrote:I’m coming in on all of this very late, but Ski has shipped things to me numerous times and I’ve never had a problem. Things do happen sometimes, but it’s how we react to these situations that makes all the difference. This matter should’ve been kept private and perhaps mediated by Jen. I see this as a juvenile attempt to embarrass Ski and damage her reputation as a seller. As you can see, it didn’t work.
Ditto to all of the above! I’ve bought two Windstones from Ski so far and both were well packed and double boxed, and arrived in perfect condition.
Phoenix wrote:Not getting in the middle here, but had a question…
I while back, I bought a pegasus stallion and the hatchling from someone on Ebay.
The box arrived and everything was perfect. Strong double walled box.
Inside the baby had been rattling against the stallion and both were damaged.
PO would not refund my money as they said the packager was at fault. The seller wouldn’t refund cause he said the PO was at fault. I was out my dollars and have two broken Windstones for my trouble.
Not saying this happened here, but more asking advice. What would have been the best way to get a refund>
In a situation like that you’d be covered if you’d bought with a credit card. You could file a dispute with the credit card company (i.e., submit the dispute form and relevant documentation), and in this case I think the credit card company would’ve issued a chargeback (i.e., taken the money back from the seller and issued a credit to your account). I’ve had to do this twice in 20+ years of credit card usage, the most recent time being ~3 years ago when I received Windstones that were not as described (“mint” pieces had many chips and other blemishes, and the seller refused to give a refund). In both cases, my credit card company was very helpful and found in my favor after reviewing the documentation. Here’s some info on the credit card dispute process: http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/banking/creditcardsmarts/p79885.asp

Thanks! By the way, I noticed that two other people wanted the castle almost as much as I did… π I think they might be non-forum people though.

(But you gotta take a group photo of all them together when you get it…Pweeeease? I would love to see that! π³ )
Mos Def. And WSC, if you ever need to sell one of those logostones, I have been looking for ages. π ….I think I asked you before, didnt I? Dang… cant remember.
Definitely! I’ll post a group photo once I take a picture (that is, once my boyfriend takes a picture! π ).Thanks everyone!!! But sorry, Ski and WSC… π Originally I hadn’t planned to bid so high…but then I was overcome by the compulsion to add this castle to my collection! π
I’m really excited to see this castle in person! I’m thinking about displaying it together with the production castles. Here’s my castle collection:
Awesome! That dog dances better than most people! π
