What about if you leave just the toes white and color the exposed legs the chocolate? Then the back feet (or most of them) can stay white, but the color will be implied from the forelegs.
Whatever you choose, I’m sure it will be lovely. The way you do the kimonos floors me.
I’ve been looking at more cats and trying to decide how to do the legs, I may just do the toes white like you said with chocolate coloring fading down from there, but that’s a bridge I’ll cross when I get there, haha.

Not currently open for PYO commissions.The flowers and foliage half is mostly out of the ‘ugly’ stages, Now I’m focusing on the Obi sash. I’m thinking of doing soft soothing colors. Choosing colors for the collar/big and stuff is always hard for me, I never know exactly what colors will go nicely all together.
Also I realized the cat in the pic I was using as a reference has mostly white legs and feet, but I’m thinking that would look odd if I kept the arms and feet white, they need some color to tie in with the colors on the face right?! Thankfully I’m not working on those parts right now so I can worry over that later xD

Not currently open for PYO commissions.So this is where we’re at now, the kimono design is in it’s rough (i.e ugly) stages. I wanted to practice painting Lotus flowers and foliage, and I’ve decided to do maybe a peaceful greenish blue background.
I’m still a bit unsure which direction to go in yet. Not sure at all what color I want to paint the obi belt and collar bib either, though I suppose I’ll figure it out along the way. If you guys want to share your thoughts and suggestions on that front I’d love to hear them!
This kitty will be up for sale once it’s finished.

Sherry, I’m so sorry for your loss, I know what you mean, I lost my dog earlier this year as well. Andy looks so sweet and cuddly in that photo!

I’ve been thinking about painting this Kitty Griffin pyo I have here in a similar color them, but haven’t had a chance to try it out, but that’s what been on my mind lately.
