Oh wow, I hope so too!
Thanks for the heads-up.
Me too! Sorry, I assumed GBs for some reason.
More baby Pegasus colours would be cool though 🙂
Congrats! 🙂
I think Melody once said that the wings on the Baby Pegasus would be a nightmare to paint for a GB batch.
I hope I’m wrong though, haha. I would adore seeing a GB batch of Baby Pegasus. I think I love that mold more than the Baby Uni 🙂
How would picks be done, if they will be done?
I can only assume people are going to be bidding high for that privilege but will there be photos of each uni from the batch so they can even see exactly what they’re picking?
It is often hard to see what the unicorns actually look like from the class photo.I honestly dont mind if Windstone take a few out of the batch and sell them seperately on Ebay. They’re simply Ebay items and it’s been done with leftovers before.
It does rub me the wrong way with “picks” being autioned for a GrabBag though. It is essentially giving people with a lot of money privilages when I thought GrabBags were more for people who can’t afford the more expensive Special Windstone products.
Just taking 5 out of the batch for Ebay before a class photo still gets you more money… and I believe no drama(?)
Auctioning a few to raise needed money would be ok and probably a smart business decision. Auctioning picks I think sends a bad message. It suggests that those with deep pockets deserve special treatment in something that has long been billed as a treat for those of us who don’t have much.
Definitely agree with that.
Hasn’t there been left over grab bag items sold on eBay after a batch release before anyway? I remember some grab bag unis and poads were listed on eBay by windstone afterwards that sold for high prices.I love that idea!!
– Auctioning a custom young to match a baby that the winner already owns (more realistic than a general commission, but not sure if Melody would go for it; still, it would be fun to do as a regular thing if she was ok with the idea, like maybe once every month or two).
I like this idea better….
Agreed
I like the fairness of GBs now. It’s a matter of luck and surprise getting an awesome piece- not a matter of money like Kaytana said.
I guess I just don’t like the idea of the “popular unicorns” really only being available to people who can afford to win such an auction 🙁
I know everyone has different tastes so there will always be popular unicorns left- but when you look at people’s ‘want lists’ before a batch comes out there is a noticable pattern on a select few pieces being desired the most.
Happy birthday! 🙂
