It shouldn’t matter if they insured it or not, seller’s own fault for being dumb. I can’t see any way that ebay wouldn’t side with you if the seller refused the refund, that dragon is in a million pieces. You can’t even tell if she WAS in the condition she was described to be in.

Wow, that mother dragon is terrible, so sorry your dragon died in route :((
I’ve never heard of that seller.

I just went back over the entries, and I wanted to be clear: We’re not trying to be jerks, but photos with items that someone else owns the rights to, especially things like trademarked logos, brands, etc, will be disqualified!! This is just to cover ourselves, legally, since the photos will be published.

No full book titles are visible in my pic, and the one poem you can see on the floor is Tam Lin, it’s in the public domain, and the arrangement/type setting on that page is my own, yay for hand presses. The notes are slightly visible, also my own, at least what parts of them baby dragon didn’t eat.

WOW Megan, I LOVE how you recreated one of the unicorn tapestries! That is my ALL TIME favorite photo so far. Wow, what a great idea! You have to enter that one!!!!!

OOO I need to buy my pumpkin still, the last ones were baking pumpkins and I made vegan pumpkin pie brownies! YUM

I think I’m going to carve a cat this year…

I do a mini haunted house and give out full-sized candy bars if anyone lives in the vacaville/fairfield area of northern CA and wants to get the crap scared out of them! I built a coffin last year, don’t know how I ever did Halloween without a coffin to jump out of now =D

Is emerald that much rarer than peacock? I got a hatching emperor very recently for $70, but it had a very tiny chip on the tail.

I’m not really into pink and purple colors (EXCEPT for Star!) but I so snatched up a lavender pearl, it looks really lovely, all soft and shiny like a fancy frosted cupcake yummm

in reply to: October raffle? #860856

It’s always exciting to see what the raffle prize will be, even better this month since it’s Halloween the last day of the month too. I can’t wait to terrify children!

Wow, I’ve never dealt much with ebay but WOW that letter was 2% actual information and 98% fluffy BS.

Yeah, I’m really appalled by that letter from ebay. I hate formula/forms used in customer service. It they’d just speak like a real person things would be more likely to go swimmingly.
I say tell the seller what you want, that you won’t file with USPS since it’s HER/HIS job, and if he/she doesn’t make nice, and keep repeating this mantra until they do it or let the case escalate in 5 days.

put them at 640 for now, so they fit on the forum (has to be smaller than 700 wide) but save the big versions for the calendar 🙂

The look awesome by the way! 😀

    Thanks 😀

So is it okay that the photo can be larger at its source, Flickr, or do I need to switch these out for the largest ones before Oct. 31?

in reply to: The 2012 Windstone Calendar Contest! #860840

This was crazy fun. I was thinking of using my Victorian dollhouse for a third entry, but the only Windstones that fit in the furniture are baby kirin and baby unicorn.

Here are some of the dragons and a kirin enjoying tea time.

This was claimed as an attempt to “help” me study, but they really just wanted an excuse to make a mess…baby oriental dragon is actually eating my Nexis Webinar notes /sigh

    Study time with Windstones

ah crap, why did they get cut off? I picked the large option on Flickr, 1024 x 768, and the next size is too small for Jennifer’s range, medium is 640 x 480. Any ideas/help for making them fit?

Tropical Skittles, he is a giant, beautiful array of tropical skittles sans the gelatin because that’s just gross to put in candy.
