Good to know I’m not the only one who’s easily influenced by forum discussions 😉
😳 Ah! Okay! I thought I had made a big discovery 😆 Boy do I feel silly, new topic and everything!
Oh well! There’s a saying in french, I don’t know if it exists in english as well: If you’re not worth a laugh, you’re not worth much! 😆
Oh good! I may never have gone back to the US if I thought that I couldn’t get my favorite ice cream while there 😆

I’m sure we’ll see more from Windstone, they were limited production which means that Melody can paint some more whenever she feels like it.
I found this out by accident and maybe it was a fluke, but since it happened to me twice now, I thought I’d share the trick.
You know when there’s a reserve on an item, but there is no one bidding against you so you end up loosing the item even though you would have been willing to pay the reserve price… Well once I was bidding on a griffin and when I placed my max bid I got the message that I was current high bidded but had not met the reserve. So I figured I would up my max bid at least until I met the reserve and then a little bit more. So I upped my bid by slices of $10.00 until I did, and Oh surprise! ebay recorded the reserve as met and listed my bid at $175.00 even though it should have listed $0.99 since I was the only bidder!
And it happened again with the white fledgling that I recently won… I bid against myself until the reserve was met and my bid was registered at $110.00.
So I don’t know if those 2 cases were flukes but it seems that when there is a reserve, you can bid against yourself to meet it!

But SquirrelLand would be an awesome place to visit…among other things, they’re probably experts at making nut flavored ice creams and I love those…
Can you tell me something? I was in Washington DC last summer and I suddenly got a craving for maple walnut ice cream and I couldn’t find it anywhere! I must have gone to 20 different places in the week I was there and never found it!
So my question is: Is that a flavor that is not available in the United States, or is it just unavailable in some states?
Weird question I know, but it’s been bugging me, because here you can find it everywhere!

You and me both are out of luck Sunhawk! Most of them are out west! 😥
I only know of 2 withing driving distance of Montreal (and I don’t have a car). There are 2 in Ottawa, although one of them isn’t listed on the Dealers page so maybe he doesn’t carry anymore? I don’t know of any in Toronto at all.
I thinks the mall Ruffian is refering to is West Edmonton Mall?

That sounds suspiciously like Nutella….
You guys have got to stop doing this to me! Every time someone mentions Nutella on this forum, I absolutely have to go out and get some! 😆
On the plus side, I now have 4 of those glasses that the smallest size Nutella comes in…

I love you, Nirvana, but screw this, I’m bidding. I’m tired of being nice!Take comfort in the thought that you almost certainly have more money than me. ^_^ And also in the thought that I’m not nearly this grumpy on most days…
The dibs thing is getting silly. The less bids, the less money goes back into Windstone and to Nambroth. If you guys want to continue seeing PYO’s from Nam, there has to be enough interest shown by BIDS that let’s the compnay know it’s worthwhile.
Sheesh.
You actually think that griffin won’t go up past $350 like all the other griffins from Jennifer have?! Whether people on this forum bid or not (and let’s be honest, precious few people are ACTUALLY going to refrain from bidding) there is still competition from people NOT on this board. Her work is top quality- people will see it an they will want it and they will spend the money it takes to get it. I would say have no fear about Jennifer’s griffins- they will, as always, fetch a pretty penny.
I wouldn’t worry about this too much Vantid. A lot of people here could not care less about calling dibs, myself included. We just never bother speaking up about it and when a sculpt that we like shows up we bid on it no matter who else is bidding.
I am sorry if this offends anyone, but I am not going to back down from an item I like just because someone else says they like it better or saw it first or whatever other reason. I’ll just have a go at it with the maximum I willing to spend and if someone else bids higher, so be it.
Demon rabbit!!!
December 22, 2006 at 3:15 pm in reply to: Looks like folks are not too fond of the pink eyed albino… #519158I don’t know why, they look really great in person. I actually prefer them over the blue eyed version. And, note to folks who appreciate that sort of thing: there have only been 10 made so far! Making them much rarer than the blue eyed (60 so far).
I admit, I did sell mine as well, but he is the one I had the hardest time letting go. I only sold him, as well as all my non-dragon creatures, after I went a little crazy and spent over $1000 in Windstones in one month (and I know that for some people here that’s just run of the mill but definitely not for me!). There are just so many dragons that I want that I had to make the concious decision of only collecting the dragons or go bankrupt!
I don’t know if it’s my monitor or the photo, but tell me: Is he really burnt orange, because that’s what he looks like to me.
I LOVE BURNT ORANGE! MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE COLOR IN THE WORLD!
Ahem… Okay I’m done screaming now. He’s really nice, I like him a lot.
SPark wrote:Even better is that the whole book is all about unicorns. All the main characters are unicorns. In the first book no humans of any kind turn up, though there are some in the second one. I first read it during my “totally obsessed with equines” phase, and loved it for the unicorns, but even now that I’ve moved on from that, I still love the books.
How can you possibly move on from that! Impossible! 😉
Since she said “I’m winning”, I think she must mean the BEP currently on ebay. It is mostly black…
Oh and by the way darkladyphoenix: go for the gold emperor! It has even more shading now and purple interference paint too! There’s a picture somewhere, maybe in one of the ask Melody topics but I can’t remember which one…
I think she means a white OW and an emerald prototype OW.
