Thank you Melody for the beautiful card! Both the inside and outside images are just too cute – I love the facial expressions on the little ones.
Although…. a sinister part of me is thinking that Santa met with a very *hungry* kirin family this Christmas, and that’s how they got the suit 😀
Oh my, now I am seeing the red flecks in the snow in a whole different light. Haha, still way too cute though! 🙂
Here in Chicagoland we were very lucky. It rained a lot Friday and Saturday causing some black ice to accumulate on pavement. I did see a man slip after he got off a commuter train (thankfully he was young and seemed unhurt). Overnight Saturday to Sunday the rain turned into a wet snow. Today there was a light fluffy snow coming down. But really, we had nothing bad happen like loss of power or ice on everything.
Actually yes Melody! I have only worked on one though. I had to enhance the color on a badly faded film called The Humpbacked Horse or The Magic Pony. It is a really beautiful film from the 1940s. I wish I got to work on more animation!
I love my job as well. I work in the entertainment industry restoring old archival film. Basically my job involves me sitting in front of a computer cleaning up film dirt, scratches, and other blemishes. I also fix color problems, such as faded old film. Most of the films I am work on are 1930s-40s German films as well as Russian and American films. I also transfer customer’s old Super8 film to video. Oh, and I also restore old audio from records, old films and reel to reel. It may sound like a lot of work, but I get to work at my own pace, and listen to music, and visit this website sometimes haha. Only thing I don’t like is I work almost always alone, only sometimes working with other people. I really like working with other people, I am a sociable type.
