Mine are insured with a rider to my homeowners policy. It varies by company, but most of them have some form of this. There is a charge, based on the value of the items, which also varies by company.

Though, I hear they shed a lot.You’re right. They are as bad as Boxers. And Boxers shed all the time. Though there is one advantage, if you can call it that, to long hair. It just lies on the furniture. Making for “easy” clean-up. The short hair from Boxers, and Danes too, most likely, is just stiff enough to get in the fibers of the upholstery. But I love Boxers anyway. They are pretty much my favorite dog.
