I’m so sorry about your dog. We all know the day will come when we will say our last goodbye to our beloved pets. I’ve had to put down 2 dogs in my life and it isn’t easy. I was there when the vet did it and it is so sad. The vet isn’t happy about it either but they know it’s best for the animal. As my vet told me once, this is our last gift to them–to end the pain and let them go in peace surrounded by those they love. It won’t be easy and I’m crying a bit for you right now as I write this. 😥 We’ll all be thinking of you next Thursday. {hugs}
How scary and frustrating to have a sick puppy! *hugs* I hope he gets better soon. It seems that a lot of us have furry babies and I would be just heartbroken to have something happen to one of mine. So we all know how you feel! 😥
He is beautiful Windstonecollector! I’d be squealing too to get him! (Sigh) Have to behave myself for a while and just window shop on eBay until my credit card recovers. Surprised I haven’t gotten a call from the Fraud Dept for my credit card because of the activity! But you’re right, there are some things that are well worth waiting for. Congradulations on your beautiful new piece! 🙂
You did a lovely job! Good idea to keep it simple for your first PYO! I’m with dragonmedley about the mane–maybe a shade darker or some shading to bring out the eyes? I’m practicing on a Muse right now and have 4 PYO griffins (love griffins!), a kirin and a winged wolf waiting in the wings for me to get better at this.
Maybe we should get a thread for first time PYOs to post and have the experts give us advice. 🙂

I haven’t received them yet–the peacock one will get to me the 22nd of this month and the jade hasn’t shipped yet. I like the young myself but you never know. If I get it in mind to sell them I’ll keep you in mind, Griffinlover. I was surprised to find mine where I did. In the ‘Condensed White List’ is where I found Headlines and they happen to have these two.
If I see any for sale somewhere, I’ll let you know. 🙂
I know what everyone means about trying to ‘win’ things on ebay. I got the Lilac Gold Nettuce Poad and flipped out! Was the first eBay bidding I actually got! If it isn’t a ‘buy now’ deal, then I usually lose. These items are beautiful but I have only so much room. I really did splurge this month on Windstones but believe me, I’ll be watching my purse strings for a while here. When I see pieces go for 4 figures I just flip out–that’s a lot of money for a figurine! When an item gets over $300 I’m usually done. With that money, I’d like to get more items.
I’m like everyone else–don’t go out much and it’s just me and my creatures. Don’t go shopping for new clothes, go to clubs so on and so forth. I did get myself a new car last year to replace a 20 year old one I had. Basically, I’m a pretty boring person who likes Windstones and animals and who would one day like to paint a PYO and have it turn out pretty good. Ooooo, getting very amibitious in my old age! 😆 When I was very young, there were all sorts of pretty things that I wanted and could never have. Now that I’m a bit older, I can splurge every now and then but not to the tune of $4,000 for one piece! Yipes! 😮
So I like the smaller pieces–fledglings, curls, Poads and I especially love the griffins! In my future there will be an Old Warrior, just have to decide what color scheme I like and I do like the laps–there is going to be one of those in my future as well.
So we’re all in the same boat–wishing and wanting and sometimes we luck out. 🙂
Ooooo My Amethyst Oriental is on the way as well as a Peacock Oriental but alas, I have no digital camera! 😥 Because of my Windstone purchases, won’t be getting one any time soon but I’ll be taking pictures of all my pretties once I do and post for all to see! 😀

Congradulations Tyrrlin! I got the Lilac Gold Nettuce Poad that was on before this one. Saw what you got it for and what a deal! Paid a little more for mine but I was just excited to ‘win’ something for a change. This was my first bidding win! The green looked similar so I didn’t bother and glad I didn’t because you are so happy to get it! Yeeeeaaaaaa! Spread the Poads around! 😀
Heh heh heh heh! 😈 Thought I’d update my own post–just remembered something. I do have an account with some extra money in it that’s just sitting there. Already have some money stashed away for emergencies so this little account is going to help me pay down my credit card debt! Which means that my obession for Windstones can continue for a bit 👿 ! Although I promise to be responsible and limit my Windstones to 2 a month–yeah, just 2 and only 2! Laurie are you watching me–I’m going to limit my Windstone intake to 2 a month! Are you or anyone else laughing yet! 😛 😆 😈
