My entry was received last week, right?
I sent mine in yesterday as well. It’s no hurry or anything! I just want it on record that I sent it just in case I messed up the address or something. :p
I’ll be sending confirmations tomorrow. I posted earlier I was only doing two batches this time due to time constraints with the baby. Sorry about that! π
Last day for entries is today!
all entries are anonymous and I’ve sent all confirmation emails for people to date.
Apologies for short messages, I’m usually online from my phone these days and typing one handed! π
Yay!
Make sure you get your entries in, guys! I know the fuzzies are excited to see what other species are out there! π
Are you going to send out letter that you got the entry?
I’ll do a batch of confirmations a week before the end of the contest and after the contest ends.
Unfortunately, with a new baby, I don’t have time to do them weekly or daily – he has decided sleeping is optional so I’m kind of a zombie. π
Is only one picture allowed?
Yes.
Wahoo, time to dive headlong into my faux fur stash π
I had a question about the fuzzies. Can you have more than one fuzzy? And can they be fashioned after famous characters, like a theme idea? Or is it just one fuzzy that we made up? Is there a size restriction? Thanks so much for doing this, should be a lot of fun!
You can have more than one fuzzy as long as they are of the same type and in the same entry (some fuzzies may travel in groups, that’s fine!)
Famous characters is a bit trickier – if you use a name/logo/something else that’s copyrighted, it might be disqualified. If you want to PM me something more specific, I can help you figure out if it’s okay.
I have a question:Are you looking for a fact sheet,so to speak,or a short story with the photo?Thanks.
A fact sheet, not really a story. π
I’m sorry, I totally didn’t see this post! π
My new little guy is here and will be 4 weeks old this Thursday! (Time sure does fly!) He’s a healthy, happy, pretty mellow little dude and I’m more recovered from my c-section than not. I’ve also lost all of my pregnancy weight plus about 15 additional pounds which is pretty awesome. Gestational diabetes did have some good side effects!
AND, now that I am no longer feeling like poo, we have a new quest! I hope you guys have fun!
Make sure to take photos of the fuzzies you make before shipping. They should come in handy VERY soon!
Congratulations! π
My 2 cents – My personal preference is for fantasy sculpts, not most of the pebbles (my son would disagree as he is obsessed with the foxes and wolves). HOWEVER, Melody started out sculpting animals and I think the only real reason she stopped was because they didn’t sell as well as fantasy figures.
So, if pebbles are selling well (they certainly seem to be!) and Melody is having fun sculpting them and painting them – it seems like a win/win for Windstone. Also, my wallet appreciates the break while the pebble lovers pick up the slack π
Happy, happy birthday!!!! π
Okay, I am _finally_ in the last weeks of school and my time should start to free up soon! Yay!
I’d like to go forward with the quest, but there’s not time for all of it to happen pre-baby (some would happen post baby).
As I won’t be working/in school from July – September, I should be okay to run a quest, BUT, there would be a one week period of time while I’m actually having my baby where you guys would not be able to get responses to questions or emails confirming I received entries.
So what do you think? If I announce the week ahead of time, would a week of me being offline be alarming mid-quest? I’ll make sure the entry period has enough time afterwards for me to confirm entries/deal with any submission errors before we close.
Let me know! I could also wait until post baby to start, but that’s a whole ‘nother month!!! π

May 26, 2015 at 8:29 pm in reply to: Bachelors vs. Associates Degree-your thoughts and comments please! #930025Does your local community college offer associates degrees in radiology? You might be able to look at a blend of online and offline classes and community colleges are typically the least expensive option. Additionally, they usually cater to non-traditional students meaning you might be able to find classes in the evenings/weekends that could work around your current job.
Even if you want to go back to your old school, you might be able to take some general ed/pre-requisite courses through a CC and transfer them in. Could be a way to lower the cost.
I have a Master’s degree, but all my education has been very specifically planned to support my job and largely subsidized BY my job, so I have little insight on Associate degree versus Bachelors. π
