I would think, for Melody, that part of the “fun” is not having to paint anything in particular – just pick colors and everything depending on mood and what might be neat to do. Try new things.
We want her to enjoy it too, right? 🙂
I feel kind of bad about this … I bought two of the grab bag babies, but I’m not a huge unicorn collector. I liked a couple and would have kept them if I had gotten them, but since I didn’t, I’ve been working to trade mine for little dragons (or, maybe, a baby I like).
I didn’t realize that this was such a huge issue for folks that had been wanting and hadn’t gotten a grab bag baby. I would have probably just bought one if I had. 🙁
It was a lot of FUN (I love surprises!), but I don’t think I’d ever get more than one at this point.
I wasn’t trying to profit or horde though – I just thought it was fun and if I didn’t get something I liked, I could maybe trade for something I did like. 🙁
I guess at least mine are going back into the population? 🙁
I really hope I find a sun dragon I can afford someday. 🙂 Or that Melody makes some new ones I can buy through the store!

This is so tough! I have a CP with red eyes, but I like the teal eyes better! I guess I’ll hold off and see maybe if someone wants to swap. 🙂
He is much more red than brown. I will take some more pictures tonight. He’s not traded yet – just on hold.

You know, if you could afford it, you guys should take a vacation sometime. We’d all live for a week I’m sure. 🙂 I love everything you do, but I’d hate you to burn out.
Plus, you know, maybe sometime we should let Melody have a break from grab bag squeaks and ebay items to sculpt… I’m sure the end result would be great for us too! 🙂
Seriously though, we’re so blessed to have access like this to a fantastic artist and a staff of wonderful people. I’ve been collecting Windstones since I was a little girl and never imagined the artist would respond to a post I made on a discussion board.
It’s kind of like learning that Santa Clause really DOES exist… and that you could drive to the North Pole and take a tour… 🙂
