Thanks! Calgary is nice when it’s not snowing like 4-6 months of the year. haha. It’s been a bit of a cool and rainy summer this year when it’s normally hot.

My cat Fluffy didn’t know what to make of the Fuzzy but the others didn’t seem to mind him. I have some more pictures to post of Purple’s adventures around the Calgary area for different events.
First Purple accompanied me out to Chestermere Lake (half an hour east of Calgary) for Canada Day (which was July 1). He got to see the nice lake, watch some fun salsa dancing and watch the fireworks at the end of the night! (I am a ballroom and latin dancer and go to salsa dances all the time which is really fun!)
Then Purple got to come with me to the Calgary Stampede where I worked for 10 days this year in the exhibits. I didn’t show him the exhibits but he got to pose for some photos around the fair, by the rides, games and if front of our famous Saddledome where we have hockey games and concerts of all kinds!
This is called the Saddledome because of the Saddle shape of the roof curving inward. This year with all our flooding from the rivers in downtown Calgary, the Saddledome was flooded up to the 10th seating row inside and was closed for Stampede as there was a lot of damage. I am not sure when it will be fixed and re-opened.
This is a random duck that flew into the Stampede grounds when I was sitting on the grass eating my lunch. She was so cute so I crunched up some crackers and bread I had to eat and sat there feeding her for a while.
Next Purple got to tour around downtown with me and pose on my shoulder in front of our famous Calgary tower, pose with other statues and flowers and go down to Olympic Plaza for Fiestaval which is a Salsa/Latin festival where we have Latin bands, singers and dancers that perform on stage all weekend. I performed there this year with my salsa dancing performing group which was really fun!
That pretty much suns up our trip! I wish I could have taken Purple Fuzzy hiking with me in the mountains an hour out of town but I didn’t have a chance to hike in the time he was here. Next time!

Hi and welcome. That is unfortunate you had to sell your lovely dragons before but that’s even better that you found a great new husband who would buy you more. That is a great story to share. Hopefully you can get more of the ones you had before or new ones. The classifieds section on here and of course ebay has lots of pieces you can buy from other sellers. I have some pyos to paint as well and I just went out and bought some metallic acrylic paints from Michael’s. I am sure you could buy shimmery powders you could add to paint but I have not done that myself so hopefully other people on here know more about that.

Here are some pictures of the adventures of purple fuzzy from when he visited me in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Here are pictures of him indoors with the Windstone collection, fuzzies and pets. This is most of my collection from top to bottom in the curio cabinet:
Here are our 4 kitties and one bunny (below). (Purple was washed after enjoying playtime with the furry pets that made him even furrier!)
This is our oldest, Ashley who is about 16 and getting old and frail now. I think she may having kidney or liver disease as she is very skinny. She still loves attention though and is friendly to everyone. She also loves to jump on my lap and lay there forever when I’m on the computer!
This is our second oldest Saucey or Kitteh as I call her. She was named by my ex boyfriend who she didn’t like as she was afraid of people when we first took her in. But now she is the sweetest cat and loves to smile and find me whenever I go into the bathroom! She will stick her paw under the door and try and reach as far under as she can if I ever shut the door.
This is Fluffy who we rescued along with her sister, Feisty below. They are only a year or so old and were going to be dumped at the SPCA so my mom rescued them. We got them spayed as they were both very grumpy when we first brought them home and Fluffy clawed up my hands good the first time I tried to cut her claws. Now they are pretty laid back and Fluffy likes to be petted.
This is Feisty, the unofficial sister of Fluffy above. She is becoming friendlier. I call her a mini Saucey as she is a bit like our cat Saucey. If someone walks by the house or comes to the door, both of them will run to the front window and growl like guard cats. Feisty also has the funniest habit. If we let her outside she will go and find garbage, papers, used paper towels, bags and such laying around on the street or in yards and bring them back and leave them at the front door. Everyday she brings back something new and we call her the recycling cat. She also likes to go out after it has rained and dig up worms and there were several days we found she had brought earth worms up the steps and left them all over our front porch in front of the door. I have never known another cat that does this!
This is our lionhead bunny who still needs a name better than Bunny. She is not a very friendly rabbit but likes running around inside and outside with the cats.
More pictures to come tomorrow of our adventures outdoors around Calgary!

I’m 30 now and didn’t even have what I considered a real boyfriend until I was like 21. I’ve dated a few different guys in the last few years but even now I’m still not feeling ready to settle down and am still trying to meet new guys. Sometimes guys can back off a bit or get a bit scared off if they think you are just friends and then try to pursue them. I rarely pursue guys but I met one on facebook who was a friend of a friend and I loved everything about his profile and what he was into and I normally would not ask a guy out ever but I thought what the heck and I messaged him and put my interest out there and even asked if he wanted to meet up and thought I made it sound casual. It took him days to get back and when he did, he didn’t mention anything about getting together anytime soon but said maybe in the future he might see me at an event or something when he wasn’t so busy with work. I never did hear back from him about meeting so he clearly got scared off and I just felt stupid.
The lesson I learned is if a guy really likes you, sometimes you have to let him realize that and pursue you. If you already have a friendship, if I were you I would just act like your previous message was no big deal and just say ignore your other message and that you’re still interested in being just friends and seeing him or hanging out before he moves and if he wants to see you or stay in touch, he will. If not then unfortunately you will probably have to let him be and hope the next guy you meet appreciates you more and pursues you. There are lots of great guys out there and although it’s tough if you like someone, you have to keep in mind when one door closes another always opens but you won’t see the open door if you keep looking back at the closed one. I hope that helps somewhat.

What I do sometimes on here when I don’t have much else to do is I go through pages of threads under General Windstone and click on which titles catch my interest. So far I have gone back 70 pages and was reading some interesting threads from 2007. I came across one about an older lady’s collection that had died that someone purchased from an antique shop and it was interesting reading the mystery of how they came to discover who this person was. It was happy and then a little sad and then seemed to have a more peaceful ending. I read other happy and not so happy threads too but overall it’s been interesting reading people’s opinions and how everyone works things out on here.

Cool colours on the dragon and kirin. What is the colour scheme called on the dragon?

Those rock dragons have awesome colours!

I am not sure how the colour changing paint works but I would also love to see it on some dragons like fledglings!

I haven’t seen this one show up yet either which is one of my top favourites! If anyone has this or gets this pink and aqua leaf unicorn and would be willing to trade it or sell it, please let me know as this would go so well with my pink and aqua Windstones pictured below!
