That is a fabulous collection Keschete. Is the background pictures or what? I have never noticed the bookends before but they are great I’ll have to look for a pair to guard the dinos.
The background is actually a card and envelope, they are something a forum member sent me as a thank you. So I put them behind the dinos. The card and envelope are large 8 x 11 art cards and they are all dragons.
I love my dinos!!!! And I got the egg bookends on Ebay for $46 each…..

I’m just curious. And, you can like ALL of them, but if you must pick a way for Windstones to look, what do you prefer? What suits your fancy the best? I agree that for me, it all depends on the colors involved, but…
I just love Black and Gold and Black Emerald Peacock!!!!
Here is a pic of my dinos….
I was a little remorseful that I paid all that money for #23 BEP OW and then he showed up at my house and that was it….no more remorse from me….
Someone will have to pry him from my cold dead hands to get me to give him up. I honestly don’t like the BVP’s quite as much….
I hope some Secret Keepers show up in some more dark colors…or even silver….
And I really want a dark calico flap cat…I missed the last one by $5 cause I wasn’t home when the auction ended….crud!

Baby Stegasaurus MINT
White Curled NEW in box and CoAWould like to sell or trade…for Kinsella Castles, Royal Hatchers, or Fledgies.
I am asking $100 for the Stegasaurus and will entertain offers on the curl, but I would rather trade..
In my original post, I forgot to wish your daughter a speedy recovery and tell you to use Hibiclens (red liquid soap you can get at pharmacy to avoid skin infections) at least when she first gets home. Wishing you well!!
Are you sure it is a Spider? Did you ask the doctor if he cultured the wound? The reason I am asking is because people all over the US blame these type of abcesses on spiders. And usually it is a skin infection cause by methicillin resistant staph aureus.
Let me explain why bombing your house may not prevent this from happeneing again…
There are two types of poisonous spiders and they are both very rare!
This website describes what they look like and what types of bites they cause….neither one causes “abcesses”
http://www.emedicine.com/wild/topic53.htm
An MRSA abcess occurs when a person has a breach in their skin, like a scratch or a mosquito bite and t gets infetced with Staph bacteria from their own skin.
Here is an article:http://www.shands.org/health/Health%20Illustrated%20Encyclopedia/1/007261.htm
Please take time to look at this. I don’t think you or your daughter were bitten by poisonous spiders. This misconception has caused a hysteria about beneficial spiders that doesn’t help the average person prevent abcesses.
These MRSA abcesses usually form in moist areas, like groin, around the waist where your pants rub, under arms, under breasts, sometimes even in the nose.
A mosquito bite can cause a bug bite appearance and then the abcess develops and people say..”OMG a spider bit me” Spider bites cause neurologic symptoms and necrosis or death of skin which causes the sskin to turn black and slough off.
Please make sure your physician cultures that stuff in your babies wound…he probably has…ask him about staph infections. And don’t worry about bombing your house…..
Here is the CDC web site about MRSA

That would be me……I have a dark peacock oriental and young and would love to have the lighter blue!
I paid $200 for the Ruby Sun….and the young ones have been over $100 in a lot of cases…so the price isn’t outrageous yet….it will probably get outrageous before the end.
The American Museum of Natural History has this exhibit. I live so far away I probably won’t be able to go to this….but you might live closer!
http://www.amnh.org/exhibitions/mythiccreatures/intro/
This is the Introduction from their web site:
The world is full of stories about brave heroes, magical events and fantastic beings. For thousands of years, humans everywhere—sometimes inspired by living animals or even fossils—have brought mythic creatures to life in stories, songs and works of art. Today these creatures, from the powerful dragon to the soaring phoenix, continue to thrill, terrify, entertain and inspire us.
We seem to catch glimpses of these creatures all around us: hiding beneath the ocean waves, running silently through the forest and soaring among the clouds. Some symbolize danger. Others, we think, can bring us luck or joy. Together mythic creatures give shape to humankind’s greatest hopes, fears and most passionate dreams.
I thought that was such a neat room and was envious that darjeb has such a neat place to display her Dino collection.
Ohh and darjeb, you need a hatching Galapagos Tortoise to go with those. If I find another one I will let you know!
I am also thankful that we have a place where we can trade, buy and sell Windstones with other Windstone collectors and we don’t have to ebay pieces.
I am very happy my extra Velociraptor got a good home with a collector!!! -
