Grumble grumble! Mine were suppose to arrive yesterday. I live in Portland, OR so usually the shipping from Windstone is super fast, but for some reason they’re in KANSAS (according to tracking anyway)! Not sure why my little guys are off on a road trip, I just hope they don’t get bumped around on their detour. I must selfishly admit to being relieved that so far no one has posted receiving any of the ones that are my favorites.
I only plan to keep 1 of these cute little fellows but I bought 2 to increase the chance of getting a color I like. So I do plan to trade or sell one. I’m glad to see so many people showing interest in ones that I don’t particularly care for since it means more of us will be happy in the end 🙂 Good luck to all of us on getting a favorite!
I only allow myself to collect the dragons, but everyone’s collections are SO cute! Some of these poads make me tempted to start collecting them- they’re just so adorable and beautiful
Yay! Congrats Briteblades!
Never ever be embarrassed to ask a question, zoey, especially not here! Welcome to the forums and the site- I’m like you (long time collector, but new to the site), but I can tell you right now that this is one of the most friendly and kind-spoken communities in all the internet! The folks here are supportive, informative, kind, and helpful. Poke around, make some friends, and ask away if you have questions. I’m one of those old-school types who believes that the only ‘stupid’ question is the one never asked 🙂
I’m sure Melody will get back to us if there is a Raffle this month, even if it is late or last minute. She is very busy and this is a holiday weekend. Remember that those at the factory have family/holiday time too. 🙂
This is a really good point. I would also gently remind folks that Melody does this out of the kindness of her heart. Even though it’s become a regular gift she gives, it shouldn’t be expected (not implying anyone here expects it or is looking the ‘gift horse in the mouth’- just thought I’d mention it).
Also, Happy Birthday to all you November folks! My husband’s birthday was the 11th, mine and our closest friends and their son’s are coming up in December. Super busy holiday time is upon us already! Don’t forget to stop and relax and enjoy everything your hard work is accomplishing! 🙂
November 24, 2013 at 11:26 pm in reply to: October — December 2013 eBay Auction Picture Thread #905547I like the name and the color scheme! I must be morbid, too, haha. Here’s hoping he doesn’t go out of reach since he would be my first (and probably only) eBay dragon! My current male is a boring old green color, so I definitely don’t mind replacing him with such a uniquely awesome color.
November 23, 2013 at 1:49 am in reply to: Report Windstone Fakes/Knock offs/Infringment Pls read first #905477Not sure if I’m reporting this correctly, but this….rather bad knock off of a scratching dragon popped up. It’s not trying to say it’s Windstone, but it looks an awful lot like a knock off to me. Thanks.
Yay! Congratulations to you!
Welcome back 🙂
Ohh I didn’t know that! Thanks for the information!
Hmm. I’m not sure whether I should just enter anyway or wait to find out if it will be a dragon or not! Knowing my luck I would win when it isn’t a dragon haha 🙂
That being said, I can’t wait to see if it is Halloween themed- best time of year and awesome colors for Windstone pieces!
I really liked the other blue one that Olympia did called Ash Blue (link below). It had enough blue to call it sapphire but not so much that it was overdoing it. I felt like it really made those unique eyes stand out as well- it’s one of my favorite color schemes so far that I have seen. I was very surprised to see lavender and pink dragons before seeing any dark blue ones, to be honest!
Congratulations! Enjoy your gorgeous dragon!
I’ve been anxiously awaiting this as well and checking the Blog daily. Every year in the past the September raffle has been a dragon, so I’m kind of hoping that trend continues!
