Curious to know:
A. The status on the sitting Qilin GB. Mostly just wondering if we’re approaching the “everything is painted stage” or “we’re still a few weeks out” stage
B. The new Brimstone color – have you guys decided how you’re releasing it yet? By waitlist via email, by waitlist via forum, by NO waitlist and just a drop in the shop? There’s just been a lot of variation lately and I’m not sure where to look anymore lol

Yay for another update!
1. Flapcat: Lynx point, Black Sunset
2. Opponax: Curlie (orange eye)
3. Blue Morpho: Curlie (Opalite globe)
4. Violet Flame Bantam
5. Pastel Rainbow: Mother, Mini Keeper, Mother CoiledThanks! I’ll do that now!
This is probably an obvious, and silly, question – but I know I’m on the waitlist for the Citrus Hearth, but I haven’t been contacted. Does that simply just mean I’m too far down the list?
*waves arms wildly* throw my name in please!!
You know what, go ahead and throw my name in as well ^^
I’m so excited to get to update my list yet again!
1. Flapcats: Lynx point, Black Sunset
2. Something in Amethyst: Curlie, lap, mother coiled, or mother
3. Opponax Curlie (orange eye)
4. Blue Morpho: Curlie (Opalite globe)
5. Citrus HearthOther then these, I’ve got some pastel rainbow wants and the VF Bantam’s eventual release, but my list has gotten so much shorter!

I think people’s biggest issue with eBay is just that the auction-style stuff can go way out of price range along with the fact eBay allows for a sniping system – so basically whoever has the fastest internet at the last second wins. But if the spare Hippogriffs are buy it now, it would probably be better?
Would it be any less work for Susie though, doing individually listings on the site versus individual listings on eBay?
You guys COULD do like a waitlist sign up for an Oddball grab bag, like you did with the pebble loaf dragons? So just everyone else that doesn’t fit, could go in there? And then anything else that doesn’t sell can go to eBay?

Oh- I’ve definitely seen the disclaimer on the auctions. Just curious if there’s any certainty that any of the given test paints will go into production. Seems that’s not currently in the cards to do so, and that’s ok.
I would as happily buy existing production colors, when the ones that call to me appear within reach. ^^Another thing to keep in mind is that extra complicated color schemes are never likely to be production. So, anything with heavy antiquing or stripes? Almost def not happening, as they become much too time consuming to replicate on mass scale.
Atlantis is that perfect mix of popular color + will still look good by trading in a new accent color (gold instead of copper) + not too complicated that makes it a great choice.
Pastel Rainbow is another one that started out as a test paint – and I think the way they differed from the TPs to the production is by reversing the way the rainbow went. The TPS are also more white heavy.
This was similar to a suggestion I had. If Melody painted a couple of examples (say… 5-10 different mama colors) and then did waitlist style like the grabbag for each color, people could “sign up” for the one they wanted. Then Melody would know how much of each was needed/which was most popular and paint accordingly. Not each one would be completely difference, but it could be more like with the Bantam clones with slight variations. And people would for sure be buying something they were happy with.
I think this might actually be the best solution. Doing a waitlist style based on sculpt allows for:
A. Would (probably???) allow for help from the production team. Because if you have an example sculpt I think it may be easier to repaint that model for other people? Correct me if I’m wrong though.
B. More control over making sure everyone is on the waitlist only once – they can even enact the one per household rule, which yes will prevent two collectors in a home from getting them but also prevents a mass influx of blind trades. Which yes, probably seems unfair but we gotta be realistic here. The team will be exhausted if they have to overpaint these gigantic models for one person getting like six because they blind traded with 5 people. It would be worse if just Melody has to do it all.
C. Allows for everyone to pick their #1 or, if they like none of them/can’t afford, to decline to participate.
D. Might even curb some of the extreme “need 48658756 of them” if there’s only a very small, select pool.I’ll enter!
