I always thought the sculpts were bigger than they actually are – I blame all the wonderfully detailed pictures that people put up of their PYOs! My boyfriend commented on that recently too, I sent him a shot of one of my phoenixes while I was working on it, holding it in one hand and taking a picture of the other. He said “Is that your hand in the picture? I thought the phoenix was bigger than that!” hehe 🙂

Please visit My Webpage to see my art and PYO's that I've done in the past!And here is the second phoenix, I call him Cloud in my head so that has kind of become his name. I will be keeping this one, but selling the traditionally colored one on Ebay 🙂
He is sitting on another celestial rock, but this one is limited to blue and blue-green because I knew his color scheme was going to be brown and blue.
For the phoenix itself I used only a certain color of blue and a certain color of brown (adding white for varying shades), so I had to get him done within 2 days once I mixed the paints – there’s only so much that retarder and saran wrap can do for you! He also has some gold interference brushed over the lightest cream colored portions of him. I really like the way he turned out, and I think the metallic teal eyes are spectacular, I love them 😀

Alright alright, they were pretty awesome too. But your water is so amazing! And the way you capture the light on the green duck’s head is amazing! And i’m not biased, not at all.

I ended up just deleting my old ones anyway, I only had one comment on one picture and I thought it would be best to just upload one image with all of the angles that I wanted seen in the pictures anyway 🙂

Unfortunately even though I got two pumpkins to carve, I started carving them and then got annoyed and gave up. One was too small and firm to get much of anywhere with, and the other I just chose a much-too-hard design to do. I am just not a vegetable sculptor I guess! Oh well, perhaps I’ll try again next year, with a less difficult pattern 😀

It’s funny actually because my boyfriend and I were looking through the ole’ PYO gallery the other day and checking out what everyone has done for dragons.. we came across yours and I just sat there cooing. I said “ohhh.. he looks like a Siamese cat, I love him!!”
My boyfriend audibly rolled his eyes and said “He’s BASED on a Siamese cat, don’t you read??”XD
