That lasted like 1 minutewhippetluv wrote:it just went from 99 cents to 150 in seconds
well, we are all just sitting here waiting…need to bid on something. 😉
And it is gorgeous.
hmmm…do you think they are waiting for some magic number of people here before they auction them off?
dragonessjade wrote:I made the same promise, but I put a disclaimer on there. If it is a limited or a OOAK then I can buy it. 😀
I was not smart enough to make that promise. I was trying to calm his fears of my stress related buying. I was going to get around it by if I had to buy something, have a friend hold it for me until I can have it, or send it to my parents house, where I will not visit until I have advanced. 😀
I have sadly promised my bf that I would not buy another one until i advance to candidacy. I dont know if I can survive the next two months without buying one–especially if I continue to read this forum!
😀 🙁 😕
reading this one and catching up on others. the meeting i am in is sucking the life out of me.
wow. i am in complete awe of his beauty.
you are a remarkable artist.how long did it take you to paint each of those feathers?

i am pretty sure you can publish book through cafe press. (i know of a person who has her phd for sale there). i wonder if you could publish a comic through there. it might be cheaper and you wouldnt have to have them printed up front. just a thought.

maybe the next dragon color will be a purple. 😀
dragonessjade wrote:In the email it said Karen wasn’t listing them yet. It was close, but not yet. I like the title btw.
is this the same email about the wolfs with teh different color eyes or another email? i am looking through my spam file to see if it caught one by her.

Rusti wrote:I think what she’s saying is that she’s worried now that the stores we *can* get retired pieces from for less when we post them here for each other, you’re going to beat us to the punch.
That is exactly what i was trying to say. i am currently a graduate student who does not make much money. (honestly, at this rate, i will probably not be able to truely afford another one until i get my phd.)
on one hand, i kind of see this forum as a community of Windstone lovers and enthusiasts who enjoy the statues and understand the love and priceyness of the pieces. some people are altruistic in that they tell others where they can purchase the harder to find pieces so that the love can be spread out. (yes, this is hokey sounding, but i am trying to sound positive)
on the other hand, i understand you have to live and have this business.
but there is a conflict here between the two. and–to keep up the hokey analogy–the love will stop flowing, or at least be stiffled.
well, i guess you will all have to realize they read this forum now, so when you post those things, they will probably quicky buy stuff up.
sucks for the rest of us with limited cash. 🙁
what is the comic about? besides the poads?
so, i contacted the seller about the price. (s)he inisted that (s)he bought them 15 years ago for over $100 a piece! 😯
