I can breed Yulebucks or Snow angels too =)
I caught my first CB Silver!! now I need to try and trade it for my first CB GOld [not a fan of the silvers, so i’d rather have a CB gold over a silver]
Wish I had a CB gold for you. I love the silvers.
December 11, 2013 at 1:18 am in reply to: Cute Little Cow Story and How She Saved Her Own Life #906396I agree with Kiya, Rusti, and fatalbeauty. I know exactly where meat comes from–I grew up on a farm and hunted, as well. I appreciate that some people wish to be vegetarian or vegan. I do not, and I don’t appreciate the “conversion” attempts, however.
Yay! Congrats!
I just picked up my first egg ever XD
Congrats, wolfsgrin! And welcome to the forum!!
Oh wow! More beautiful pieces. I’m so impressed with everyone’s talent. I love the swap! Are we missing any more?
How cool is that!! Congrats on the beautiful piece, and good job Laundry!
More pictures please!!
These are all really wonderful!

December 1, 2013 at 10:45 pm in reply to: The big debate…The question has finally been asked.. #905955What is that? Would it have shown on an MRI?
Essentially, the bones at the base of your skull are malformed, or broken. That allows the brain stem to sit lower than it should. It can disrupt spinal fluid flow, cause headaches, neck pain, clumsiness, and other general symptoms. However, in some cases, people with Chiari malformations can suddenly get symptoms after head trauma. Some experience nerve pain in the arms and legs, some experience seizures. http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/chiari/detail_chiari.htm
They SHOULD catch it on an MRI, but often they don’t. My mom had CT scans done several times over the years, but they didn’t catch her Chiari Malformation until she was in her 50’s. It explains a lot of things for her, including migraines, TMJ, and clumsiness (possibly even depression). Now, I’m not saying that this is your problem, but it’s one that’s easy enough to diagnose and is often missed. Don’t get your hopes up too high–it’s just a suggestion.
December 1, 2013 at 7:05 pm in reply to: The big debate…The question has finally been asked.. #905947Have them check for a Chiari Malformation. Your head trauma might have made something that is often not even diagnosed become a problem.
Congratulations!

Something’s happening and it’s recent. You’re young, so it points away from certain diseases, but they shouldn’t be ruled out. I don’t remember if you’ve said you’ve had a spinal tap and some tests done on your cerebrospinal fluid, but if you haven’t, you should.
Mine has arrived from Kiya! I’ll get some pictures here in a bit, but I just wanted to make sure to post that she arrived. She’s a beautiful momma Foo in autumn colors named, appropriately, Autumn. This is the first time I’ve seen the Momma Foo in person–boy does she have a lot of detail. Excellent job, Kiya, and thank you!
Yay, I’m glad she got there safely and that you like her. 🙂 I’ve never painted a foo momma before (I don’t paint much, lol!) She was really intimidating. I also maybe was working 65 + hours at work and finished her up 4 days late… Sorry about that! (Yay priority mail!)
Also, sorry for the fancy outer box. It was the ONLY one I had that vaguely fit. I’ve been recycling my shipping boxes after my husband complained about them taking over the garage and discovered I had nothing to put her in! LOL
It was a comedy of errors this year I swear. 🙂
Haha! No worries. I can see how the Foo Mamma would be intimidating–lots of nooks and crannies and textures.
I had to laugh when I saw the box.
Here we go. These aren’t great pictures…too much coffee today and no natural light left…so if Kiya has some better photos, she might want to post them.
