That blue merle bat eared fox is just gorgeous <3 so glad that the paint went for so much! I'm surprised that the buckskin grand is only at $200 so far. He's really cute.

I’ve considered doing this. The Snow Leopard Trust does something similar and this past Christmas I almost ordered some handmade mice from them for my kitties. I’d like to go with them I think, just because they give you a plush AND a photobook! In one of their tiers, you can support a research camera trap which I think is just a marvelous and truly helpful idea. 🙂 I worry though about the money going towards the present (plush, whatever,) being taken away from their actual work.
I usually only get one letter a year from charities, though I get emails constantly! I don’t really mind them though because since I can’t afford to donate I appreciate being notified of opportunities to sign petitions, which helps too. (Plus I have it set up so that all that gets sent to my junk mail, so if I don’t feel like reading them I can just delete them all at once without having to extract them from emails that are from actual people.)
The plush scientist dolls that WWF has are possibly the cutest things ever.

Oh wow, this is incredible! So encouraging to hear that your life has taken such a positive turn, it drives me to hope that mine will too. I’ve got a lot of respect for the earthship idea and off grid living; it’s something I would like to do someday. Many, many congratulations to you Bayoudragon!
