If the sequence for the Pegasus is Male Pegasus – Mother Pegasus – Baby Pegasus, wouldn’t the corresponding dragon sequence be Male Dragon – Mother Dragon – Fledgling Dragon? Not that I object to having Hatching Dragons (though a case probably COULD be made for live birth).
Then there is the question of a Hatching Griffin … (sorry) 😳
Thank you very much for doing this! 🙂 I really enjoy reading the comments and seeing what does (or does not) appeal to people.
I have been reading the “Hatching Dragon” thread with great interest and I was wondering – am I the only one who is bothered by or dislikes the idea of the Hatching Pegasus? For one thing, it looks out of scale with the Mother Pegasus, which bothers me WAY more than it should. Also (if you will forgive me), Pegasi hatching from eggs would probably be biologically inaccurate. 😕
I don’t know how complicated it is to produce and paint, but it is more expensive than the Baby Pegasus. If we could have more Pegasus colors, more often, by eliminating the Hatching, I would be OK with having it discontinued. On the other hand, it may be everybody else’s favorite Pegasus, or easy to produce, or a big seller, or something. Just curious.
Emailed you.

If you want one in Copper Patina, there are four Baby Orientals in the store – or there were five minutes ago. 🙂
I was taken aback when I saw the photos, because I have mint [the plant] about that color and I thought “I can see describing that dragon as Mint … (with a LOT of warnings about condition)”. Presumably your seller is experienced enough to know how to describe items properly (if he wants to), and your thread does not read like a cross-talk situation – one person saying “Yes, the dragon IS Mint [Green] as I described it”, and the other person saying “No, it definitely is NOT Mint [condition]”.
The dragon certainly is beautiful, even damaged. I’m sure you can find somebody to fix him, or give him a good home, whichever you decide you want! The Muse just helped me decide to order a dragonsnail. 🙂 They are lovely both in the Muse photos and on purplecat’s website! I suppose it is another example of Windstones leading someone (and her bank account) astray.
Thanks – you just inspired me to take a look at her website. Wow!
Next thing you know, he will want a cigarette holder! He already look like he is channeling FDR. Are those some sort of snail critters in the background of photo 2?
That was me. I’m not sure of the etiquette – is it OK to say that I’ll remember you if I decide to pass him on in the future? I know that pieces do change hands over time. Or, just maybe, Melody will do something next time that you like even better!
Black and white, please. I like the sharp edges. Also, I still want a black and white mother Pegasus like the one that was up recently – and I didn’t win. 😥
I must admit, nothing leaps to mind. Were you looking for a dragon/unicorn theme or just a catchy slogan? Are you in coal country, college town, antiques center or where? I saw all those recently when I visited my parents in Carbondale. The number of “antiques” stores was a real surprise. Too bad the DuQuoin State Fair doesn’t have the Hambletonian any more. That used to draw crowds, and I think they bought things.
Slate, please (someday). I would hate to think that I missed the only State unicorns ever because I foolishly was doing something besides watch the Windstone website all the time …
Day after day I drink plain unsweetened Twinings black tea – English Breakfast, Irish Breakfast, English Afternoon, or Prince of Wales, usually from tea bags (oh, no). From time to time I buy some flavored tea, but I quickly get tired of it.
That said, Evolution’s Lavender Earl Gray is very good. So is Orange Blossom White from the Republic of Tea. The Republic of Tea website has many fruit/tea combinations, including blueberry, but it isn’t inexpensive. Their Blackberry Sage Decaf is also pretty good, which is a compliment because I don’t usually like decaffeinated tea. It always tastes incomplete, or watered down, or something. 🙁I do the same thing, though mine is a free savings account. Not only does this account protect my “real” account, I can use withdrawals from it to pay for things through Paypal. Very handy for small eBay purchases.
