And as of almost noon today the Poad is all the way up to $5.50 (on three bids) whereas the Dark Emerald Curled Dragon, which no one has mentioned yet, is almost $130 higher.
Congratulations! Have a great time. 🙂
Soda is called “pop” in the upper Midwest (Wisconsin)for sure. Foxfeather cited “Chesterfield” for a sofa. I had a great-aunt that called it a “Davenport”. I don’t know where that originated. Or you can call it a “couch” (or you can call it a sofa). 🙂 Lots of names for one piece of furniture!
I am so sorry to hear about your mother. Please take good care of yourself during this difficult time!
Oh, I never thought of commissions. I had wondered what the point was of posting stolen art, other than ego gratification or being “clever” (fooling other people). But posting someone else’s art and then soliciting commissions, that goes beyond copyright infringement and into fraud (in my opinion). 👿 I can see why you were so quick to let the art community know that it wasn’t his work.
I have emailed John, don’t know if anyone else has as well. This has to be copyright infringement of some kind!
Isn’t it signed – bottom right just under the tail? I can’t blow it up enough to be sure, but it looks like Pena.
I like what I have seen of Amethyst pieces with orange eyes. However, I am planning to wait for the Rising Spectral – or should that be wait … and wait … and wait … and wait … 😀
For those of you who can’t wait to see one, an Amethyst Lap dragon just hit eBay. 🙂
Interesting – I get the Republic of Tea catalogs and order a variety of things, but I have avoided the red tea. In fact, they included a free red tea sample with a catalog and I threw it away without trying it (the only sample that I have tossed). Perhaps I will be brave and try the next one. 🙂
Well … I haven’t yet found a red tea that I like. It tastes too sweet, in my opinion. WolfenMachine mentioned Teavana. There is a store in a mall near me and I enjoy going in there, but the only thing I buy is their “Lavender Dreams” (white tea with lavender). That stuff is GOOD. 😀
Yep, it couldn’t be easier – the tracks run right through town! (I grew up in Carbondale and my parents are still there.) Giant City park is nice. You should do it! 🙂
According to the Windstone “Retired Pieces” list, Rainbow Fledgies were made from 1997 – 2006. If you want to see a picture, take a look at the ebay Completed Auctions. One sold on August 5 for $41.00, and one sold on August 6, also for $41.00. An Emerald Peacock sold on July 31 for $74.00, so they are out there too.
These should be her “Bones” and “Reverse Bones” designs. Yesterday (August 12) Grayfire Artz posted a “Bones Kirin Anyone” message in the Flea Market. I believe she said she has three PYO kirins and is looking for commissions, so here’s your chance to get one! 🙂
I am “puppy-sitting” my son’s two dogs while he and his family are out of the country. I have had the dogs for six months now and I can testify that dog walking does help with weight (some) and attitude (a lot). I don’t know if the improved attitude is due to getting more sunshine or to seeing people outside the house, but something has made a difference. If you don’t want to own a dog, does a neighbor have a dog that needs to be walked during the day?
Enjoy your upcoming classes! You may find that mental exercise breaks the inertia cycle just as effectively as physical exercise does. 🙂
