Thanks for all the replies. I still doubt that I would ever attempt a PYO, but it is good to know that I have enough room to do it. 🙂
Emerald’s Emporium (http://www.emeraldsemporium.com) appears to have them in stock. Emerald also has posted here on the forum that she has them.
I found the forum while searching online for Windstone. If I recall correctly, that day I saw “Azalea”, the raffle prize, and signed right up – knowing nothing about forum etiquette or anything. Fools rush in … (but everybody was very tolerant). Thanks. 🙂
Follow-up question: the most daunting part of PYOs may be all the supplies that seem to be required. How much room do all the paints, and powders, and brushes, and airbrushes, and sealers, and thinners, etc. take up? Or is it one of those things that starts small and expands?

It’s kind of intimidating when your meager effort is going up against the likes of Koishii, GB, Drag0n, Melody… I’m kind of wondering if I shouldn’t have joined the ornament swap now, since I see people like etruscan were in it. I hope my person isn’t too disappointed.
Don’t feel that way, pip! I started the ornament swap just to have a little fun around the holidays. 🙂
Heavens no, don’t feel that way! I joined the ornament swap because I have patterns and supplies for making little felt critters (as you saw). But that is as far as I go. PYOs scare the heck out of me, though I certainly enjoy looking at everyone elses’s work (and I have been lucky enough to buy a few along the way).

Yay! It’s a pair of white elephants! So cute! They are already hanging on one of the trees in the house. 🙂 Thanks so much etruscan! 🙂
You’re welcome. I’m glad that you like them. 😀
I have used AuctionStealer (http://www.auctionstealer.com) for years. I have the paid service because sometimes I use it a lot, but they also have a limited free option.
I know a lot of people disapprove of snipe engines, but I find mine invaluable for situations like this, or when the auction closes at some inconvenient time, or when I don’t want to risk missing the end of the auction. There are free options available if you would need it only once in a while.

Anyways, no surprise what I want, a point and shoot camera. My last one was a lemon 🙄
See’s is a brand, yes. I don’t think I’d consider them “fine” chocolates, but they’re not the low grade candy bar type either. I love the marshmallow/caramel. Mmmmm!
Ah, OK. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen that brand, but they may be here; I don’t really eat chocolate so I just might not have noticed them.
See’s Candy is a West Coast brand, though they do set up an outpost at a mall near here (Annapolis, MD) during the Christmas season. I think they have also gone into mail-order. I had a relative who moved here from San Francisco and she thought that See’s chocolate was the very best. So every Christmas I put See’s chocolate in her stocking and Godiva in my daughter’s stocking. Going to the See’s kiosk while carrying a Godiva bag – or going into Godiva with a See’s Candy bag – always made the sales clerks frown. I can go either way, except I don’t think that See’s makes Key Lime Truffles. :yum:I use Amazon, but mostly to see when books are due to come out. Rarely buy through them. None of the other sites – I spend most of my online computer time on ebay, Windstone forum, and email.

Yeral wrote:I could certainly try 🙂 I suppose those are easy enough to find at craft stores?
Now, that is a good question. Craft store? Hardware store? My ex-husband had a whole room full of stuff (plumbing, electrical, tools, nails, screws, washers, bolts, etc,, etc., etc.) so I got in the habit of just going downstairs and rummaging when I needed something. I’m not used to buying clips and fasteners.
Wow – I don’t usually like the Emperors but that one is spectacular! Congratulations – and a tip of the hat :hi: to whoever is willing to let him go.
Rather than trying to complete the hole, could you attach the trinket with a spring clip – something that has ends that fit into the existing holes? 😕
