When you sign up for a membership on this website-what is the difference between premium and wholesale, and does it cost anything? What are the benefits to it? Thanks!

Hint: The line was uttered by a young, skinny Kevin Bacon while bent over in a pair of tight whities during a frat hazing ritual- though he was hardly the star. It was a cult hit and definitely a favorite with ppl now in their 40s (though Im in my mid to late 30s… 36 going on 37). There was a funny scene in it with a horse and an obnoxious drill sergeant who got dumped because his white steed was purposely hit on the rump by a flying golf ball. Later, the horse had a heart attack due to the sounds of blanks going off from a gun (it was a funny scene; nothing gorey) during another frat brother/pledge prank (dare).

Another notorious line: “Is that a pledge pin, on your uniform?!”

Youll get it. And I hope Im not going to get a slap on the wrist for getting off topic here (see how gun shy I am from other boards. They have really done a number on me psychologically that I am so paranoid to even tangent out just a little in good fun.Going off topic is encouraged here, unless otherwise stated. Keeps the bug pornographers in business. So, who has a good recipe for chicken adobo?

What is chicken adobo? it sounds like soup! Yummy!

Ah, haven’t seen that one. By the way, I received my baby pegasus in the mail today, and it is GORGEOUS!!! I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was signed by Melody!! Yay! Melody-do you know if you plan to paint a male pegasus in the future? If you know you will I will even send payment now just knowing that it is in the works! I don’t mean to be a pest, so if I am you can slap duct-tape on my mouth! oops..I mean…around my typing hands!

Awww….I know you’ll be ok. Friends are always good at helping with problems like that. You will be in my thoughts and prayers also!

“Thank you sir (ma’am) may I have another”

    Uhhhh…It sounds familiar…but I can’t place it. A hint? A little one? ha-or I might google it! 😀

You keep putting movie visuals in my head by the way you speak- er, or type! Now I have a visual of that nasty little man (what was his name- he employed Andre the Giant and Indigo and kidnapped the Princess before being bested by Cary Elwes… “inconceivable!”) in The Princess Bride. He said a line in that movie to someone (I use to know that movie so well but my short term memory has long been lost). He said, “I’m Waaaaaaiiiiittttiiinnnnggggg!!!!!!” 😆 😆 😆 😈 😛

But Im on your side. Chomping at the bit myself for that male peg to come back in stock myself 😀 Goodness knows were both on thte waiting list!

Hahaha!! I don’t mean to put all of these movie scenes in your head…but it’s quite entertaining to read which ones you think of! I LOVE “The Princess Bride”! I could imagine his voice in my head as I read your post!

I am hoping that Melody will read this and think “Hmm….maybe I should paint a few more!”
Maybe in the near future!! 😛

in reply to: Wow….I feel so insulted by this listing….. #589406

It shows his personality. I sure wouldn’t want to meet him in person! It sounds like he expects too much out of people. Like he’s the only one to own that gargoyle! He acts like his is the only one in the world! It sounds like no one from this forum will buy the gargoyle from him!

I do hope that more male pegasus’ are painted soon because I have gotten to the point where I check the Windstone store twice a day to see if there are any back in stock. I hope it’s soon! 🙄 😆

I am so glad that you will be alright! I hope that everything will be ok! If the guy has insurace, you should be able to get another car through his insurance…I think. I have never had to do it, but I had a friend who crashed by the fault of another driver, and she was able to get a car through the other driver’s insurance. Feel better! I hope your not in pain right now!

What brand of paint did you use on her? Also, what is the difference between pastels and acrylics?

Well… I use a combination of acrylics. Apple Barrel and Creamcoat… the cheap stuff you find at Walmart or Michaels… AND more expensive artist paints… like Golden and Liquitex. 😀

As for pastels… I use chalk pastels… crushed into dust. I then dust the different colors of pastels on the PYO (or Model horse) in layers… sealing each layer on the PYO with a clear acrylic sealer.

Of course if I don’t seal the pastels, they will not adhere to the PYO and eventually rub off.

Not to mention it takes 5-30 layers of pastels to achieve the color I want. ^.^

I have been promising for ages that I would do a tutorial on pastels… Once I get one of the PYO Unicorns going… I will do that! 😀

I would love to see your tutorial once you get around to it!! I am VERY tempted to try a PYO, but I wouldn’t know where to start when it comes to the materials and to ensure its longevity.

It shows that they don’t seem to care about keeping their customers satisfied. I wonder if other people have had their windstones broken through their careless packaging. I hope they reconsider how they ship their products!

When I bought my mother unicorn on ebay, her horn was crooked also-but not quite as bent as that. I just carefully bent it back and centered it. Maybe you could try that? But if you do-do it SLOWLY. I hope you can fix it, or get your money back!

in reply to: OFFERS: B&W Tobiano Unicorn… before she heads to ebay! #588712

Oohhhh…I am so tempted to shell out my money for her! I want her so bad! If you have a price range for her, PM me. I would love to buy her! *shoves hand in the bottom of purse and finds a few coins* 😯 I’ll have to find more! 😀
