😀 In the Blue Angels the C-130 they use (aka “Fat Albert”) is actually a Marine plane with a Marine crew, not Navy. This comes from a Marine wife who is proud of her husband’s Vietnam service as a navigator in a C-130. The first time the Blue Angels came to Grand Junction, CO my husband and son watched the show from under the wing of the #7 plane and we got a tour of “Fat Albert” too. We’ve managed to make it out to every air show they have in town, and yes, they fly over our house as well leaving smoke trails to fall to the street. This last time we missed seeing the C-130 due to them showing a JATO takeoff to a crowd of very special people from the nursing homes, VA hospital and the state home but we enjoyed the show ….AWESOME sights, AWESOME sounds, and AWESOME military men who fly those planes. If you ever get a chance to see them, do so, it is amazing and makes one proud to be an American!!!! 😀 I’ll now get off the soapbox…LOL
