Hmm. I see it was fixed, never mind. π
The last sentence still refers to it as a griffin (not that it really matters) π
I received an e-mail. It was a back in stock notice, not a new item in store notice.
omg I love this one, the spots on his legs are adorable. I was hoping for an appy but after seeing how many people have got them I am doubtful! I did end up getting mine yesterday, it was an iridescent dapple bay with white socks and a blaze, unfortantely he tried to escape en route and lost his horn and some of his forehead along the way so is heading back to oregon. So it’ll be a while longer yet for me to get mine π I like so many of these guys, I don’t think I’ll be disappointed!
Are they repairing him, or replacing him? If you end up with one you’re not super excited about you can give me a shout. I really like this little guy, but if you get an interesting one (ex. maybe one of the black ones) I might be willing to let him go.
Just throwing this out there – Tiger’s eye – They’ve always been one of my favourite gemstones. Or – Hematite – such a nice shiny black. π
Lucky you, you must have a lot of space. I ordered one of the babies, and I have no idea where I’m going to put it when it gets here. π But it’s such a nice problem, isn’t it? π And they were so cute, I couldn’t stop myself.
Happy Birthday

Sorry – double post.
It’s only worth collecting Canadian mint coins for esthetic value. My father has been collection coins for years and has finally decided to start thinning out the collection. No dealer will pay anywhere near what the coins originally cost. If it is a precious metal coin they will only pay the weight of the coin and nothing for the design, no matter how rare it is. We have been to many, many coin dealers over the years. They are pretty to look at, but one of the worst investments available.
On a side note to Canadians about the new plastic bills; they may be hard to rip, and almost impossible to burn, but they will melt. π Don’t leave them near radiators or fireplaces.
Aw so sad.. I thought there are lots of antique buyers out there who’s very interested in coin collection.
I know. π The coins are so pretty, but it’s so hard to find people who want the old coins, they all seem to want the newest ones available.
Perhaps we should start collecting coins nowadays.
Canadian penny are officially ceased circulating in the nation to the north. US coins could be the next. That move has rekindled a debate domestically that has been going on for decades. Collectors should start seeking for Canadian mint and coins for good. It’s only worth collecting Canadian mint coins for esthetic value. It did go to a forum member (not me!) So at least it’s still in the family. π
That’s great, at least it went to someone who’ll be able to fix it up, and add it to an existing collection so it won’t be lonely. π
