Grayfire, I really like the darker colors you used on the pheonix. I can’t wait to see a dragon or kirin in this color scheme. Awesome job! 🙂

March 7, 2011 at 1:49 am in reply to: Hello & Photos of Progress on My First PYO (unfinished) #839725I have no advice to offer you. I can only compliment. She looks great so far! I really like the blue/violet dapples you gave her. I’m anxious to see how you finish her. 😀
I’m not that big on the color pink. But, I think you did a lovely job painting her. The gold and pearls really work nicely with the shades of pink you used. There are alot of people that love the color pink and I hope you fetch a great price for her as she deserves it. 😀
drag0nfeathers wrote:I suppose I could get paints from Windstone, but the colors are really sort of inconsistent when you look at a lot of the same color in a row so that doesn’t always work as good as you might think. Anyone who own more then 2 or 3 Ruby or Peacock pieces will know what I mean. The colors vary A LOT! I prefer to mix my own so I can get a nearly flawless match.
I agree, I own 3 ruby and 3 peacock statues and they all have variances in color. Which is one of my apeals to them.
Drag0nfeathers, You did an amazing job! Knock on wood that I never have to send you a repair but, I know who to talk with if an accident happens. Please post pics of him when your finished. I can’t wait to see him.Melody, I was wondering if you ever made or considered making a horse statue ? With similar poses as your unicorns.
Perhaps a racehorse theme, with saddle, bridle, bit, saddle cloth, and blinkers. The possibilities with pyo’s are endless. I owned a thorobred racehorse and his colors [silks] were black and white with a flying crowfeather. Here’s a pic of him under silks in this post. Let me know what you think.
Nice job! It goes great with your poem. 😀 Can’t wait to see what you come up with for your second one.
