LOL’s at the Pugs, those are hilareous and it looks to me like you might feed them like it’s their birthday every day?! LOLLing!!!
😳 They are all on a diet. 🙂 Just recently replaced all their treats with baby carrots (they thankfully love them).

I don`t know if I ever saw the cat, but congrats anyway! 😀

A lot of you wonderful people have been asking how my Father in Law, Jerry has been doing so I thought I would post an update here.
For those that don’t know my Father in Law Jerry was in a very serious plane crash back on Sunday, May 30th. Here is a link to an article and video on the news story: http://cbs11tv.com/local/boyd.plane.crash.2.1723846.html
Jerry was the passenger in the plane; we are not entirely sure what the purpose of the flight was but we think he was giving lessons to the pilot as Jerry is a long time pilot with several planes of his own. The pilot survived as well and is recovering still but had done *much* better than Jerry & was moved out of the ICU weeks ago. Jerry on the other hand was very bad off. He was given a 5% chance to live & at one point recently was even downgraded from that & the hospital pretty much told us to prepare ourselves.
Jerry is still in the ICU but for the first time in it seems like forever I have GOOD NEWS! He is improving! When we saw him on Saturday he was off the ventilator & breathing on his own; they will only use the vent to rest him at night. He was able to actually focus on us and the most amazing part; with assistance from the nurses (due to his trach tube) he was able to say a muffled word to us. The hospital is now talking about physical therapy and what is going to happen next when he is moved out of the ICU!
Obviously, it’s been a crazy month for Hubby and I (Hubby was actually in Sweden when the accident happened; I had to call him and wake him up to give him the news) so we were pretty thankful for the holiday weekend. We seemed to be able to relax for the first time in too long after such a positive visit on Saturday with Jerry.
Thank you to everyone for your well wishes & thoughts. I appreciate them more than you could know. I’m sure Jerry does too.
My baby girl Pearl turned 4 on Monday! A few pics from her birthday:
The goods; a dog friendly beef flavored cake with whipped cream cheese ‘frosting’ & a fancy (plastic) glass of low sodium beef broth
Drink for the Lady
NOM!!
Pearl really liked her cake
The rest of the evening was spent with the pugs playing with Pearl’s squeaky squirrel & recovering from cake eating. 😉
Sorry for the slight delay everyone but it’s time for the Fall 2010 Gift Swap to get started!
Some of the information & questions have changed so please read it through & send your current answers!
What it is: If you enlist, your name gets thrown into a hat. You will receive the name of one person, and someone else will receive your name. Your goal is to put together a small care package for that person. Letters, candles, incense, chocolate, bath goodies, foodie goods, craft-store finds, etc. Something nice to brighten his or her day. You might even get a new friend out of the deal.
Timeline:
July 1st, 2010 — Sign-ups open
July 31th, 2010 — Sign-ups close
August 1st, 2010 — Swapper notifications
August 15th, 2010 — The last day to notify me of a back-up need
September 1st, 2010 — Last Day to put packages in the mailGeneral Guidelines:
— All US domestic packages *MUST* have shipping confirmation/a tracking number.
— It is suggested you include at least 3 items in your package if you are getting smaller gifts; if you wish to send one large item that is fine too.
— General price range will be $25 – $35 total spent on gift items, though if you’d like to invest more, that’s fine. And $25 is not a mandatory minimum that you have to spend– if you’re good at crafts or you have a knack for finding thrift store treasures, that’s cool, too.
— Please, please, do not ask to participate if you are unsure about your ability to follow through on your end. Yes, there are generous people who have and will throw together back-up packages so that no one gets left out. No, that does not mean that it’s okay to flake. Please note: May 15th is the absolute last date to tell me that you need to bow out.Got it? Good! 🙂
To participate, please fill out this questionnaire and send it to Traci at CrimsonVision dot net (please make sure to type out my email the correct way rather than just copying and pasting; trying to avoid spammers!), with the subject line “Windstone Fall 2010 Gift Swap”

I will assign swappers/swappees and mail you your recipient’s questionnaire. I will also keep a list of swappers/swapees, so if someone doesn’t send their package, I’ll know, and will find some way to compensate.
Everybody, have fun!

You asked for insurance and received a broken horse. The burden is on her to refund your money.
It’s not your fault she forgot insurance….O_O I didn’t even see that post. You asked & paid for insurance; it’s on her that she didn’t buy it.
Eeek! I actually just got the digest about this today as I am on ST’s yahoo group; I have one of her Pyt II resins (&really hope to get my hands on an original sculpt someday!!) as I used to own one of Pyt’s sons in real life. Small world (unfortunately)! 🙁
Wow, yeah. It’s REALLY obvious that IF isn’t resin; I can’t imagine anyone that has had any dealings with model horses wouldn’t know that. I mean I hardly know ANYTHING and it’s blatantly obvious to me. Sorry you are having to deal with this but yes, get your money back first before you send that fake anywhere.
Thanks but I already have a sugar plum.
Might be interested in the Silver Bengal depending on the markings. Looking forward to pic!
Well, I just rechecked my list and it looks like another successful swap has been completed. Thank you everyone who participated!
As usual I will post the next swap after the first of next month.
To those that have asked for updates, my Father in Law declined drastically over this past weekend & now is listed at a less than 5% chance to make it. I don’t think I will need a backup for organizing the swap since it’s pretty spread out and online time is pretty crucial to my sanity these days but if anyone established member is willing to be a backup for me please PM me about it.
Thanks everyone.
MEEP! LOVE!! Just sent my name in to be in the drawing for the first time! 🙂
