I’m with you Phoenix, I like the blue-eyed #2 but I was in love with #1! The pink highlights on that one were done perfectly IMO, he actually looked like he had that translucency and pinkish glow that you can see on albino reptiles. Like a blush! So pretty.

Do you mind us calling you Pifia instead of P.S.? Sorry, but that always makes me think “Post Script.”

          How about P-Spry?

            “Summer Sunshine”: AKA “Butter”

He does look buttery! I think the eye color was a perfect choice to keep him from being too overwhelmingly golden yellow though.

Wow that Blue Ice fledge is pretty awesome, I haven’t been a big fan of the color but he wears it very well! I would buy one if it were made production <3

Oh man, after seeing those pics (GREAT pics BTW), I wouldn’t even bother with USPS. They will most likely flat out tell you that it wasn’t packed correctly, and refuse to honor the claim, if you show them those photos.

If it were me, I would take up the claim with ebay. Not only was the dragon not as described, he was clearly not packed correctly in the first place. The photos very strongly prove that.

LOOOL I actually took a second look at the first picture to see if there was a frog but didn’t see one. Nice. A little “easter egg” for people who look closely 😛 Is it a pet frog or one you found?

Haha! While traipsing around in a hollow where there was still some moisture and green grass (Southern CA in late September is pretty dry and blah), I just happened to see them EVERYWHERE! So it was a super happy coincidence.

The high-res photo is much bigger so I imagine he wouldn’t be so hard to see if printed calendar size, heehee.

I had a couple others too–it was super fun catching the little frogs and trying to snap pics before the little peepers jumped away 😀

Oh please go ahead and post it! If someone else submits the same sculpt I took pics of I wouldn’t mind. 🙂 And you definitely inspired me to get off my butt and take some proper pics, when I saw your Grand Uni photos! Can’t wait to see your Goth.

I kind of like the second frog one better only because there is a real frog in the photo with him.

Take a close look at the lower right on the first one. 😉

Gosh this turned into a process!

I packed up mucho $$$ worth of Windstones and brought them back to my mom’s property in the hills, spent 2 hours sweating in the heat wave and hiking all over about 50 acres getting good places to set up scenes, and got some great photos. Made it worth the risk of making these pristine sculptures look like they’re supposed to be sitting in the dirt!

Until my camera card corrupted as I was packing everything up.

                      @_@

                      I cried.

BUT! After an awful, long drive back home, I was able to recover almost everything with a little googling around to see if it could be fixed. Huzzah!

It took forever to decide which shots to use. I think I’ve picked my three, but there’s a few others I can’t decide on! Would love opinions/critique. <3

Top 3 I'm thinking to enter:

                      And alternates:

It sure seems like that when I read it.

If it were me, I would persist in getting ebay to cover it. USPS is awful. I had to do a claim through them and the whole process was a pain. You CAN get your money, but yeah, it’s a pain!

I think the biggest point here is that, even if the dragon had NOT been broken during shipping, he was not as described in the auction and you would have filed with ebay regardless.

They seem to be using the fact that he also broke, to put this off on the USPS system. It makes sense. But yes, they are ‘washing their hands of it’ with this letter. Even if it is in a polite and somewhat helpful way.

If the dragon was just as described, but broken, then USPS would be responsible for sure. But the seller sent a not-as-described item out before it broke.

Kind of a gray area but I’ve always had better luck with ebay than with USPS.

I love this summer sunshine color too! I never thought Yellow could look good on Windstones but this one just seems right to me. 🙂 Like daffodils or sunlight streaming in on a summer morning!

Jen, that makes a lot of sense. They’ve been pushing the Bill Me Later option really hard too.

What a pretty guy! He sure was lucky to be found by you. 🙂 So is this species illegal to have in your area? Any chance of tracking down the original owners? From what Wampus says, there’s probably someone out there who was sad to lose him.

So glad he’s in good hands!
