Is it illegal to mail alcohol to the states?
I think I read somewhere that it’s illegal to send any sort of food across the border, but I’ve sent and received tons and never had an issue. Has anyone done it? I mean I’m not saying I’m doing to mail windstone a ton of booze or anything I’m just curious now!
We have these chocolate eggs in canada called kinder eggs, apparently not only do they not sell them in USA, but it’s illegal to, they’re considered “contraband” and someone got a huge fine for taking them over the border. Because they have a toy inside, and in the states you can’t put toys inside food or something.
Now I’m wondering if they make maple flavoured alcohol. XD
Oh my god you’re kidding!! The US doesn’t have kinder eggs!! Kinder eggs bring so much happiness to my life, to those who don’t know you have the toy comes all in pieces rolled up in the instructions and they all get curled up into a little egg pod. I got an albatross once when I was little and it had a tiny set of cogs in it, so when you rolled it along the table it’s wings flapped. It was the best.
Incidentally I think the US has Irn Bru on the banned list too because Scotland refuses to give up the ‘secret ingredient’. (It’s GIRDERS!)

I want a kinder egg for Christmas and a naff 70s jumper with reindeers on it.
We have Kinder eggs in the US, we would get them from a German import place. I still have a few toys from them.
Yeah, if any of you are missing Kinder eggs, look up shops in your area that import German or maybe Italian products. Or just have a lot of imports. I used to work at a German deli/shop and we had Kinder eggs and all kinds of imported candy. No one ever came to fine my boss. 🙂
We opened one at the shop one day. I’ve had tastier chocolate, but the toy inside was way fun to assemble. Choking hazard for sure though, I guess I can understand the ban a LITTLE. Silly litigious society.

There is a ground mole in my house! I saw it waddle across the floor a couple days ago and went “EEK! A Mouse!!”, but then I realized it’s a mole. He’s actually really pretty, his fur looks like black velvet but what is he doing in my house??!! We’ve been trying to catch him in a box so we can take him back outside, but that chubby little thing is FAST!
I did some research last night and it says that they RARELY come above ground and will NEVER come indoors, then why is he in my house?? It also said that they’re nocturnal, then why is he waddling around my house in the early afternoon?? It said that they only like to be in tunnels under ground, I keep my house very clean for my kids, there’s nothing to tunnel in on my floors, why is he walking around out in the open?? The internet says this NEVER happens, so it doesn’t give any advice.
Does anyone know anything about ground moles????Crazy! I caught a mole in our garage once when I was a kid. If you catch it, you have to touch it. 😉 They have the softest fur I have EVER felt. It’s insane. As far as why he is there, beats me!

Sorry you are feeling more like a mother than a partner. Been there. 🙁 Ended up having to break it off, which was best in the long run, but a tough decision. It’s good to lean on your partner, but if one does all the leaning and the other does all the support, that imbalance causes tension eventually. Sounds as if things have been out of balance. I hope you’re able find clarity on what you need, and the best resolution for you two specifically.
I hate UPS, they always charge more than anyone else. For example, I can send a 13lb 16x16x16 inch box to Calif from here for under $20, the same box with UPS? $48. Yet the guy was trying to convince me that UPS prices were better than FedEx…so far…not impressed.
KyrinI use UPS a lot, they are sometimes a little more than USPS, but not usually that much more! I actually prefer them over the post office, because their rates are almost always better for heavy/large packages and insurance is included.
BUT, when you go to estimate a shipping cost on their site, they always give you the more expensive option first, and you have to scroll down more for their regular parcel/ground rate. Is it possible that happened? They aren’t always cheaper/the same price as USPS, but they are often very comparable.
Shade has been traded, although I do have Paraselene up for trade still. She has a matching GB fantasy baby with the magic invisible paint. I’m up for trades on one, or both of them.
Most of the GB Unis I would have traded the pair for have happy owners, and I am still dying to find an Adult Amethyst or Jade Young Oriental Dragon. If you would consider trading, PM me for sure. 🙂
