Curled Dragon, new one on the block, only just came out recently.
Ahh. Explains why I couldn’t find him. Cool though, that one is possibly my favorite. Esp in white. wow. What is the average price of the white ones? I see a purple one too on eBay, what’s the average price of him? Thanks
littleironhorse wrote:No problem, on the following link the first 2 are the males, with the crystal ball (although strictly speaking they were only ever sold as “coiled dragons” and not really identified as males). The last one is the mother coiled dragon, with the golden egg.

Or you can follow this other link and look under Coiled Dragon or Mother Coiled Dragon.

More lovlies. There’s no enough difference to me to mind having the $50 one instead of the $200 one 😀
Ok, if those are the coiled ones, what is the name of the white one that actually started the thread? His head is down, not up. Mucho appreicated!
littleironhorse wrote:The female is the one with the golden egg, and it’s the one that’s harder to find… in white or emerald anyway, a peacock one pops-up on ebay every once in a while.
Ok, sorry, newbie question.
Which one is which? There is one with his head down, like this white one, and one with the head up, like the green one I posted. Are those the difference gender ones? I personally like the head down one(no doubt that’ll be the rare one 🙄 )emerald212 wrote:Here’s a chance for Phoenix to get me back for laughing about the griffin.
I have decided I want to collect all of the coiled and curly dragons in all colors. That means I’m needing the following, if anyone knows where I can get them or has any they want to unload:
Coiled Male Dragon in White
Coiled Male Dragon in Emerald (not Jade)
Coiled Mother Dragon in all colorsI know there’s a Coiled Emerald Male Dragon on Ebay from BT’s. I’m watching it. And there’s another one in an Ebay store. I was hoping to pay a bit less though. Thanks for any help.
There’s a male AND female? *sigh*
WHich one has the head down? I like that one more. I now see a difference, now that it’s been pointed out 😆Here’s the green one
So cute, but I’m not into the green ones as much.

And a high bit of shipping to go with it! 😛Yeah, but worth it if he’s insured.
I gotta say….we need a slobbering drooling smilie. 😯I saw someone who had one of these in green, and I”m not a fan of the greens, but I remember thinkging “gosh, I’m broke, I sure how there isn’t a white or a rainbow coiled out there….”
*gasp*
He’s gorgious. I’m watching. Maybe…oh maybe eBay will be on my side for once(not so likely) 😆skigod377 wrote:Its nice when you can get them cheap and fix them up. I have touched up a couple and its kind of fun!! 😀 Good luck expanding your collection!
Right now I’m just trying to get a collection haha. The only one I own in a PYO, and he’s not even here yet lol. Seems like all the ones I really want are the $$$$$$$$$ ones. LOVE those coiled dragons. But, I’m watching a few now that aren’t too bad. I’ll get one eventually, then EVERYONE will know about it. lol
Gosh. What did I have for breakfast. I feel giddy 😯 😯
haha.
skigod377 wrote:You can usually get a mint baby ki rin for around $50. Thats the average. As for the chips and stuff, it really depends on if it can be touched up with a little paint or if it will need some Whippet-style repairs. Also, location is important. Is the damage on the face or the back of the piece? There are lots of factors and some collectors that can do repairs dont care if its chipped or not. Others wont touch chipped ones.
Thanks!
I’m probably not going to become a hard core “mint” collector, and I paint model horses for a living, so I don’t mind touching them up at all! I’d like to add several peices to my collection, and if I can get them cheaper chipped, that’s cool, I just don’t want to overpay for damaged ones. I see a lot of dragons on eBay with chips. One went for $25 last night, a big one, he was missing somethign in the back of his head. I was taking care of baby, so I didn’t get to bid. Oh well, next time! That is one of the prettiest little dragons I’ve seen(I love pastel colors)
emerald212 wrote:This is a Fledgling Dragon in Rainbow, just like the auction says. Yep. It’s true. Pretty, isn’t he?
By the way, I’m an English teacher… It should be “Who is this?” 🙂
Oh, I see that now. Sorry about that! I was so into his color, I didn’t read the whole auction!
Thanks for the “who/whom” correction 😀
I guess the question is, what design is this? Is this a rainbow dragon? I just saw him, and his color just WOWS me.
Wow, thanks! You guys have given me plenty to think about. I have a week to figure something out, but I’m thinking with orange eyes maybe blue, with orange and purple accents. Or maybe black accents. That might be cool. I’ve started writting down all of the color combo’s I want to do someday….looks like I won’t be buying just one 😯
mimitrek wrote:bluepony78 wrote:Ok, another question. Does anyone know where there’s a basic dragon that can be downloaded that looks siimilar to these, to “color in”. I work well from reference, and would feel better doodling and seeing what my peice looks like before I go and paint it all up and it turns out like crap 😯 haha
Some people have tried out color schemes using Photoshop — here’s an example.
I’m not a painter, but it seems like good way to try out different things to see what works!
I will keep that in mind, but I just started learning the compleixity that is Photoshop not that long ago. At teh rate I’m going, by the time I have the photo painted up, the real peice will be here, painted, and sold haha.
